  1. I am also just going to say that Madrigal screams a TLR type player. Unless he gets traded, get used to seeing him every day in the line up.
  2. Apparently you changed your line of thinking in the last few days?
  3. Oh man, you must really hate this team to be rooting against its players.
  4. I know I can think of discussions of what would happen after decades of stretching Presidential power when you finally ran into the guy who would take full advantage of it. We just saw the test case scenario.
  5. 16 days from now the idea of the VP chosing the President will become socialism.
  6. The Trump plan is to say whatever benefits you in the moment, and instantly 45% of the country believes it, no matter what else it contradicts. This is the same crowd that justifies the civil war as a contest over states right who is going to work with the individual state's rights to choose their own electors.
  7. Essentially by attacking results on a state by state basis, you are undermining the need for the electoral college if your contention is just going to be that this should be federally decided in the end anyway. But because Trump cares only about himself and not the GOP, he is perfectly willing to not care about the logic here and destroy the party for his own good.
  8. Google search got me here. https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/MLB/2019-free-agents.shtml
  9. To add to this, by this time last year some of the big names who had signed included... Jose Abreu Ordorizzi Grandal Cole Hammels Gerritt Cole Bumgarner Zach Wheeler Strausburg Anthony Rendon Keuchel
  10. I will put this out there, looking at BR, including all free agent signings, there were 411 signings in the 19-20 free agency period. By Jan 5 of last year, 191 signings had happened, with 220 still to come. So far this year it has been 129. That is about a 30% decline in volume, even with the larger than average number of non-tenders.
  11. It feels very different to me. There was a LOT more movement of players by this point last year.
  12. The financial situation is 180 degrees different. We are less than 3 months from opening day and literally no team in baseball knows what their dollar flow is going to look like then.
  13. To be fair, there are a ton of extenuating circumstances to this off season.
  14. At this point I don't really have any players that I don't like. TLR and Boston are the ones I would love to get rid of. Those histories are horrible.
  15. You can't see him stealing stuff out of the White House to sell later for profit? I think it sounds just like him.
  16. The biggest problem isn't the sharing of information, or even that they aren't always right. The problem is when they get to enjoying the attention and start moving past what they know, and start moving into what they think should or could happen, and start blurring the line between knowledge and blathering on about nothing, and put themselves into a situation where people can't tell which is which.
  17. For some an if, then statement is too much depth for them to understand. Gotta be all black or white to make sense.
  18. This part is easy. People get addicted to the attention and praise.
