Hell if half of the recruiting stories are true, he's already earned his contract before he ever won his MVP.- White Sox winner
That's nice.- Pujols to Dodgers
The 2nd Cabrera extension has to be worse. It was so unnecessary even before it was signed.- White Sox winner
I love Tim Anderson, but Jose is every bit the heatbeat of this team. He could still be not playing and no one would have blamed him. Instead he gets his clock cleaned and is back winning a game on hustle 48 hours later. Love Jose- Steve Stone / Yoan Moncada's "Lack of Effort and Interest"
Yoan blowing that stop sign is 100% related to Steve Stones big mouth. Stay in your lane Steve.- The TLR Manager Thread
We aren't talking about U of I here, we are talking about Stanford. If you are going to try to make the low key racist claim that Kenny only got into Stanford because of his athletic ability, you have a burden of proof to show that Stanford's admission standards didn't apply to athletes, and not some unrelated NCAA policy.- COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
This was amongst the most ignorant of all of the covid conspiracies. Did anyone stop and think that the things being done to prevent covid, such as masks and social distancing, would have a major reduction affect on the way less virulent flu strains? It seems really obvious if you pull your head out the Q-niverse.- 5/14: Kansas City @ Chicago White Sox Game 2: 7:10 PM CDT
This team has 6 of its own 1st round picks on the active roster.- Jose Abreu leaves game with injury
- Giolito's slow start
To be fair, the 5 runs Gio gave up were wind aided garbage. Both of those balls are caught short of the warning track on a normal day.- The TLR Manager Thread
It didn't make a difference in the game, but really disappointed to not see Tony ever get out and defend his catchers over the two very different strike zones we saw today.- Jose Abreu leaves game with injury

Best possible news there.- 5/14: Kansas City @ Chicago White Sox - Game 1 of DH 2:10 PM CDT
Hope it was worth the suspension for this. Enjoy your 10 days off. Anyone else, step up next.- 5/14: Kansas City @ Chicago White Sox - Game 1 of DH 2:10 PM CDT
That's what I figured. You talk loud, but never actually do anything.- 5/14: Kansas City @ Chicago White Sox - Game 1 of DH 2:10 PM CDT
Well at least we don't have to read anymore of your posts this game.- Tyler Flowers retires
Talk about a guy that carved himself out a nice career. Good for Tyler.- Jose Abreu leaves game with injury
Ran head first into Dozier on a pop fly, helped off of the field, status TBA.- The TLR Manager Thread
For my two cents when someone states that a manager has a minimal effect on a game, I think there is an underlying assumption built into that statement that the manager is of a level of competence that they aren't doing ridiculous and unexpected things such as not knowing the rules of the game, and instead of turning a quick statement into a long statement full of needless qualifiers, they make a quick and simplified statement, which is well understood in its context. I mean when I say managers have a minimal effect, do I need to say mention that as long as they play all nine defenders that they have a minimal effect, or can that be assumed? Do I need to mention that I am not including managers who would move their starting pitcher to CF for every other batter as it wouldn't be a good idea? Again, that can be assumed. So when people make that statement, I can accept that an acceptable assumption would be a manager who understood the rules of the game, and other basic things we assume of managers in 2021. I mean if you can't read between the lines to understand a statement like this for what it is, that is fine. I personally think too many take it as just an opportunity to argue something that was never said, and reframe the argument to something it never was instead have having a healthy respect for the baseball IQ of the person posting the comment.- Humorous takes from Royals' fans/upcoming series pitching match-ups
Let's be honest here, the odds are really high that brah is just a filler word for what he really wants to call you, but can't because he doesn't want to get suspended.- The TLR Manager Thread
Considering 2 of your 3 examples are dead, that is kind of telling as to how hard it is to find TODAY.- Giolito's slow start
Again, why are you assuming to know more about this than the people getting paid to do this job?- Giolito's slow start
Why assume Katz, of all people, doesn't know if something is wrong? Knowing something isn't right, and being able to get changes made, are 2 completely different things. - The TLR Manager Thread
