  1. The dirty ones will have to wait til I'm home from work. In the mean time:
  2. Pretty much true. It's cheap. And probably for a reason. The quality of the food just isn't very good. I read a news story somewhere this past week that Brain and Spinal Cord material IS making its way into our Ground Beef supply. That's the part of the cow that can pass along BSE (Mad Cow) and its human equivalent CJD. I have a Diet Coke addiction. I really can't refer to it in any other fashion. I drink about a six pack a day, minimum.
  3. Would a Bea Arthur picture on this thread reduce the tension here? Cause, I could find a few, ya know.
  4. Me neither. The soda fast lasted 12 hours. I did stay off McDonalds for a month. Then I read Fast Food Nation, and stayed away from everything but Subway and Jimmy Johns for two more months. New years - no more fast food for this fattie!
  5. I'm listening to Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. Yay! Great.
  6. I no understand your comments. All your base are belong to us?
  7. I don't think the Sox would be involved in a four way trade for RJ unless the deal involved getting a lot for very little. Why would KW help the Yankees get RJ in the AL? Wow, that was a lot of initials for one sentence. One of the theories that I've heard of about this trade falling through has everything to do with the Sox. The Dodgers wanted to get some power through another trade in order to give up what they were giving to Arizona so that the RJ trade could be facilitated. This involved a Vaz for PK trade. KW said N-O to PK for VAZ with LA. Since LA couldn't get all the players it wanted to make up for what it loses in the RJ 3 way.
  8. I'm going with the Heftybaggers for now. While I think that the White Sox pitching will be MUCH improved next year, I tend to think that the Twins front two have a higher level of consistency over the last year than Buehrle and Garcia. Even though I think we have a more balanced staff, I think we need to prove our consistency at the mound first. Provided that Contreras and Garland can settle down and be a little more reliable, that vote would switch right back to the Cell in heartbeat.
  9. I just bought Muse - "Absolution" Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - "Shake the Sheets"
  10. I do know that Stairway to Heaven is the most requested song in radio history.
  11. Taken from the Fix at Salon.com. The source is Celebrity Nudity Database I have no idea if that's safe for work.
  12. No, everything is fine. Stop worrying and drink this eggnog. You will conform. You will conform. Here listen to this new holiday carol, it's called "The Christmas Shoes." Doesn't it make you just want to cry? (Is it me, or am I too bored at work?)
  13. Was listening to 66WFAN last night when I was passing out and I believe I heard the opposite was true, that KW wasn't willing to trade Paul Konerko to get Vazquez. The reason L.A. backed out of this trade is that they realized they were getting a sucker's deal and couldn't knock out the trade or two extra they needed to make up what they were losing. If they had made this deal, it would have been tantamount to white flagging the season before it started. At least thats what the latenight jockstrap said on the Fan. I added the word tantamount too. Sounded awesome.
  14. See Bea Arthur. They are one and the same.
  15. Stupid me for going to bed!
  16. A Happy Holidays from me to you.
  17. Davis is serviceable. He plays hard. He's worth it to my uneducated eyes.
  18. Krylon ™ paint???? What do you think, JR is the freakin King of England? Next thing you know, you're gonna expect like a higher payroll or something.
  19. Thank you, Columbia House! I met Stone Gossard once. Asshole. Big time! I'd have to say my favorite Pearl Jam would be not actually a Pearl Jam song. I like "The Day Brings" by Brad - side project with Stone Gossard. And "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog - featuring Mr. Vedder. Otherwise, if I had to choose, I'd choose Dissident.
  20. I'm still working on Too Far Afield by Gunter Grass and The Great Unraveling by Paul Krugman. Next up on the list is "Don't Think of an Elephant" by George Lakoff.
  21. I was driving an 84 Chevy Caprice Classic about ten years ago. A car next to me blew out his tire, turned into the rear of my car at 50 MPH. He made a two inch scratch on my car. His front end was ruined.
  22. I'd agree, they really are finding ways to make the place prettier that are only enhancing the park. There were things about the Cell that weren't the best when it was first made - but the one thing I loved is that its designed for optimum game watching experience. I've gotten a lot of craptacular seats, but every single one had a great view of the park. I can't say the same for the Juicebox, the Shrine, Shea or Philly's new place.
