I don't think that the playoffs should be expanded any more than they already are. 8 or 10 teams is a fair amount. I actually like that wild card teams have to burn their best pitcher in the play in game. I think that 4 teams are too few, but anything more than ten are too many.

Rocky has one upped his father in terms of being a horrible owner. Bill's only flaw was being super cheap toward the end. Rocky is at a completely different level of awful.

In the winter of 2017-2018 I was more excited about Hansen than Kopech.

I think he's going to be an ok 1B, not a star or anything. I'd sell high.

Vaughn, Thompson, Burger and Sosa. Not Vera, Montgomery or Kath. I'm not a huge Vaughn guy. I'm not sure if the Sox can unlock Thompson. The Diamondbacks can afford to experiment with Burger at 3B.

Go get Ketel Marte and sign Conforto. Go to war with that team for the next few years. Hope that Cease or Kopech take a major step.

I think there is value in having to beat an opponent head to head over a 7 game series. If it were up to me top 4 teams make the playoffs in each league and play best of 7 series to decide a champion. There are too many variables in terms of players getting injured over the course of a 162 game season to make me think that regular season record alone should determine who is the best team. I even think 10 teams as currently constructed being involved is too many.

That could be said about business in general.

I could get behind Caldwell. Not so much with Quinn and Eberflus. If they go Caldwell, I'd hope he and Poles pick his OC with his successor in mind as I think he's only going to coach for 3-5 seasons.

I think the MLBPA could live with 220M as the luxury tax threshold if every team had to spend at least $125M. Honestly I think getting a floor is more important than increasing the luxury tax threshold.

Eberflus is a Marinelli disciple. He runs Cover 2 as base. Cover 2 is always really good at creating turnovers but terrible at containing good QBs. The entire basis of Cover 2 is to make the opponent run a lot of plays, wait for them to make a mistake and pounce on it. They get shredded when the opposing offense doesn't make mistakes.
