Idk, I know they talked about the shoulder thing but he hasn't hit a fly ball over 100mph in a while. In May everything he was hitting was 98 mph+.

25.3 M is pretty fair for what Harper brings.......the bigger issue is that the contract goes forever. If the Sox can get them to pick up $15M for the last 3 years of the deal, it makes some sense.

This is what I mean about when he tweaks something he's overly dramatic, but to call him soft is ludicrous. If he was really dealing with a shoulder injury for the first half of the season that was affecting his power......not a lot of hitters will play through that in this day and age. They'd rather sit out than have no power. Dude is a warrior playing through post-covid and now this. Putting the team in front of your own individual stats is unheard of in this day and age, especially with the emphasis on power in baseball.
