  1. It's literally the only way I can get through life. Much less stressful to have low expectations and get pleasantly surprised than to be constantly disappointed. I've tried the other way and it wasn't working for me.
  2. @ron883 You changing your UN back to something Yermin related.
  3. You're wrong. They're a borderline playoff team without Eloy. Fangraphs has them at 84 wins and I'd say that's about right, plus or minus a a few.
  4. Nice AB by Robert. Even last year during his slump, Robert's ABs are wildly inconsistent. There are times that he swings at everything, and others where he's patient. It's baffling.

  6. Had they signed/remained with the Sox, do you actually think that Tatis Jr and Soto would have developed into the players they are today? Serious question.
  7. I think that was Giolito's new "downer" pitch. It looks like a splitter in terms of its action.
  8. eh, I screwed that up. It's 37.2% of a regular season if we're not being rough with the math. (not that far from 33.3%) Anyway, I forgot that the Jankees didn't win the AL East. Since the Sox would have been the 2nd WC, I guess you can count it.
  9. 60 games, which is roughly 1/3 of a normal season. 2020 was a unique season with unique rules that should be considered a historical anomaly.
  10. 16 team playoffs in a 60 game season is a one time farce that is and always has been a joke. The 2016 Sox would have made the playoffs after 60 games.
  11. No because 2020 doesn't count. They would not have made the playoffs under 162 games rules.
  12. Respectfully, I want the Sox to make the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time in team history. IMO until they pull that off "sustained success" (whatever that is) is a pipedream. No, 2020 doesn't count. They finished in 3rd place.
  13. I think if Rodon has a good, healthy year he's going to want to get paid.
  14. It's going to suck if Rodon finally figures it out/gets healthy only to go elsewhere and have success after this year. ' He's so unreliable I've just accepted that though.
  15. Where did you get the data? Curious. Is it on baseball savant? I haven't been able to figure out how to get the in-game velo readings. Was more interested if Crochet started to ramp it up a bit, or if his velo has backed up a few ticks.
  16. For those of you watching, do they have a radar gun for the pitchers?
