  1. I wouldn't have re-signed Abreu last year for this reason but then they miss out on his MVP season. Abreu is like Konerko. He's going to be pretty damn good into his late 30s.
  2. Jose means too much to the Sox. Like I said I don't think he goes anywhere. He's on the Konerko plan.
  3. This. Vaughn is the trade piece. I just don't think that Abreu is going anywhere until he sucks.
  4. I think they end up signing Yoenis Cespedes. I think this also might change their plans with Vaughn. He may be a trade piece now. Give Collins a shot at DH.....Eloy is probably gone this year.
  5. I think Eversley/Karnisovas are trying to facilitate a 3 way deal with Markkanen going to a 3rd team and NO getting a different player. I always liked Markkanen but he's frustrating as fuck and it's time to move on. If he figures it out elsewhere, I'll chalk it up to "It wouldn't have happened here"
  6. Says the guy who whacks off to pictures of Yermin holding a baseball bat in a certain way.
  7. Just my opinion, but I don't think that Trask makes it to the Bears 2nd round pick. I think he's a prime candidate for a team to trade up to the 30-32 spots in the 1st round so the team gets the 5th year option.
  8. Abreu isn't going anywhere. Eloy has more power but Vaughn will probably be the better hitter and an OBP machine while being a 30+ HR hitter himself. If the choice is Eloy or Vaughn I'm taking Vaughn.
  9. Unpopular opinion: Trade Eloy, Vaughn and Abreu can split 1B/DH.
  10. If they're not going to take a QB in the first 2 rounds I'd like to take a flier on Jamie Newman or Kellen Mond in the later rounds.
  11. I really wish the Sox would offer Giolito the same amount of money they offered Wheeler right now. Gio is a a younger, better pitcher than Wheeler. Break it down this way: 2022: 13M 2023: 22 M 2024-26: 30M Total: 5 years $125M.
  12. This goes for position players as well as pitchers. I'm not crazy about their depth at the positions either. If they lose either Anderson or Moncada they're in some serious shit. I'm not even sure they have someone anywhere close to the majors that can play a passable SS, let alone hit.
