There isn't much depth in OF either. Do you trust Engel, Gonzalez or Rutherford? I don't. I think Engel would get exposed with regular playing time.

The 3 1sts is about the max I'd offer. If it was to take Smith, Johnson or both, then it makes trading for Wilson counterproductive.

Seattle and Houston will try everything they can to repair their relationship with their star QB before even considering trading them.

I think the Texans will dare Watson to go play in the CFL before trading him. Houston is going to tell Watson to go fuck off until he's ready to play for them. Watson is under contract for 5 seasons and the Texans are under no obligation to ever trade him.. I think the Seahawks and Wilson patch things up. My $0.02

Non-zero basically means less than 1% but not zero either. I don't think that either guy gets traded until they fail to report to training camp or something like that, in the unlikely event that either guy actually does get traded.

Opinion: IF Wilson, Watson or both get traded, which I think is a non zero chance(less than 0.01% but not zero either) then it will happen between June 1 and the start of the season.

I'm a fan of baseball analytics, but they're being used to suppress salaries rather than win baseball games. That's where I draw the line. It's not possible for every team to be the A's and Rays, but I'd bet all 30 owners would do it if it meant higher profits.

1B don't really have high value on the open market anymore, unless they're just superstars. I think with regard to an extension, you focus on Giolito and if that's not possible then wait until everyone else proves themselves. I don't see Madrigal being hugely valuable unless he starts hitting .340+ with regularity.
