Bears Draft Needs
Why isn't WR on this list? With the uncertainty around Robinson it has to be up there.

Garbage dump pitchers I don't *like* like but like more than garbage
If they have a little dough left, Shoemaker and Cespedes would be nice.

Happy PECOTA Day!
I don't like Madrigal all that much either but I'd be glad if he proves me wrong.

Happy PECOTA Day!
Nobody wants to be right about that stuff. I've been a big Cease detractor but I'm actually excited to see him pitch this year.

Happy PECOTA Day!
This is wrong, how? I think they're better than an 83 win team but thinking it's not a 90 win team is entirely reasonable. This is an 85-89 win team as currently constructed imo. If a few things go wrong 82-83 wins is entirely possible. If a few things go right, 95+ is possible.

Better than 2020?
Also anyone weighing Moncada's 2020 as anything other than noise is dumb.

Have the White Sox "spent the money" that Rick Hahn promised?
I'm not even mad.....I've never been angry about it. It's just something I've always accepted. It's a weird hypothesis I have. We'll see if it actually happens.

It's my opinion that after Jerry is gone and the lease is up the Sox are leaving Chicago. It's my opinion that the reason why the Sox minor league affiliates are mostly in North Carolina is to pave the way for the Sox eventual move to Charlotte or Raleigh. I think they're going to attempt to extort IL again and the state will think they're bluffing and then.....bye.

2020 NBA Regular Season Thread
I hate to break it to you, but I don't think anyone is coming to the Bulls as a big time signing regardless of whether or not they're a playoff team. They're no different than the Timberwolves in that regard. They're going to have to get their stars through the draft.

2020 NBA Regular Season Thread
The big issues with Markkanen are that he brings nothing but offense and can't stay healthy. He's a tweener where he's not good enough to be a 2nd option on a good team but too good to be a 3rd option.
-
2020 NBA Regular Season Thread
Are you sure he doesn't prevent them from adding? I've come around to being ok with Markkanen being gone because while he's a #2 option when healthy, he always misses 20 games every year.

He's not going to be worth what he wants to get paid so get what you can.

They're fun anyway.....both UC tenants have been a pleasant surprise this season.

He's good but he needs to get better as a shooter. Hopefully he works on that over the next couple years. I've come to grips with the idea that everyone on the roster is a trade chip except Pat Williams.

2021 Super Bowl LV Chiefs v Bucs
Tonight we got to see what Mahomes would look like if he was playing for the Bears.

Did We Go Cheap Not Signing Another Bat?
I've been saying this for a while. Makes a lot of sense. There seems to be some smoke around him right now.

Did We Go Cheap Not Signing Another Bat?
Somebody important always gets injured, in 2019 it was Kopech, in 2020 it was Moncada. Given Eloy's oafishness in LF, it will probably be Eloy or Robert this year.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
Probably not. Nobody credible has referenced the 2nd round pick coming back. There was a twitter rando that referenced someone semi-credible that said there was a 2nd coming back but the guy he referenced said it was BS.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
That rumor turned out to be BS dude. Sorry for posting it. It's likely worse than that, like #20, the Bears 3rd round pick and Miller/Foles.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
That's believable to me because that's how Pace structured the 2nd #1 in the Mack trade.
-
NFL Thread 2020-2021
It depends. If they get 37 back, then I agree. Still bad, not horrible. If they don't get 37 back then it's a sick joke. It's beyond horrible in that case, and right there with Hopkins/Johnson.
-
NFL Thread 2020-2021
It's still a bad deal, don't get me wrong. Just not Hopkins/Johnson bad. I think they should fire Pace before he's allowed to make this move. Still angry, but not football seppuku level angry. If they give up 20 without getting 37 back, that is football seppuku bad.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
It all depends on if the Eagles give back their 2nd. If they do, I'm not thrilled, but not super angry either. There's precedent for a deal like that because that's how the 2nd 1 in the Mack deal was structured.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
Yeah I was going to post that. Seems that the rumor I saw was BS.
