They should probably trade those guys too. The players they'd get via trade aren't going to be as close to the majors this time around. Even if they traded guys, it would take too long for Vaughn and Robert to have any use. It's not like we can count on the Sox making any major international free agent signings.

Not a championship caliber club. Fire everyone and hit the reset button. They should, but they won't. Instead they'll run it back there with a bunch of 2nd and 3rd place finishes while the good players on this team lose value.

It was never really open to begin with. Even with everyone that is underachieving having good seasons, they're just not good enough. They've always been good enough to win the ALC and nothing more. World Series? That window shut when they got zero superstars out of this group during the years that matter, but merely very good players. They needed Moncada to be Jose Ramirez, Eloy to be prime JD Martinez and Robert to be in a stratosphere of his own, even if not Trout. They needed one more pitcher to be as good as Cease has been this year. When those things didn't happen, the window closed.

Same. The big thing is that if there's a team willing to pay Soto $500M, the Sox can't compete with that kind of package. Ideally, you keep Vaughn and Kopech and build something around Eloy and Montgomery.
