  1. Fedor returning has been the worst kept secret on Twitter the past few weeks. The UFC needs a star and needs to sign Fedor.
  2. Is Aldo still the underdog betting wise? I saw he was right after McGregor's last fight. Might need to jump on that.
  3. Go check out emptyseatsgalore on Twitter and you'll see how bogus those attendance numbers are. Teams are either passing out freebies or selling tickets for cheap to ticket brokers to get those figures. I doubt there are that many no shows per game
  4. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 11:37 PM) I need some King of the Hill to cheer me up after this game
  5. comical that the UFC tried to sell the fans that a blue belt with zero power belonged in the same arena as Ronda. And Rogan creaming himself as if Rousey just accomplished something amazing would have been funny if he wasnt so over the top. Atleast he's good at following his marching orders.
  6. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 05:10 PM) Not a great main card. UFC is going from one country to another trying to pick up new fans. Doing a great job at it, but it's cards are definitely watered down now. Ronda once again proving there's no one near her level. She's raking it in... they need to bounce around because the UFC has grown stale here. It is pretty pathetic when their biggest star is Rousey and all she fights is stiffs. The UFC got killed when Lesnar,GSP and Silva all went out within a short time of each other and then the Jon Jones mess. Havent been able to recover or build new stars. Would love to see Aldo crush McGregor so that train gets wrecked.
  7. Very favorable WCQ draw to the U.S. today. Group A--Mexico,Honduras,Curacao/El Salvador,Canada/Belize Group B--Costa Rica,Panama,Grenada/Haiti,Jamaica/Nicaragua Group C--US,Trinidad Tabago, St Vincent/Aruba,Antigua and Barbuda/Guatemala
  8. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 12:08 PM) If Mexico wins Sunday, the US has to put the playoff game in Columbus, don't they? This is a CONCACAF match, not a U.S. home match
  9. Did Guardado really say he thought about missing the PK on purpose bc it wasn't right? I'm sure it's easy to say that after the fact but I highly doubt anyone would consider that, even if it was a cheaply awarded kick. Unless he had lingering thoughts from the previous match or that the team wants a new manager. lol
  10. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 08:28 AM) Well that call on Brad Guzan that led to the second goal was pretty horse s***. That happens all of the time and is never, ever called. It's the equivalent of a 3-2 chest high pitch being called strike 3 or an NBA player called for ever so slightly palming the ball in the last minute of a game. Correct call? Yes. But it is one you never see made. Let alone by a ref not even that close to the play. That said, thank god Timmy is coming back, Guzan was terrible. And Beckerman brings nothing to the team. Everyone except Klinsmann knew he'd struggle against Jamaica's speed. Really poor from the US. Of course, they're probably still around if Johannsson buries that wide open header from 6 yards out instead of skying it. No doubt in my mind that if Johannsson scores then the U.S. would've won within the 90. The Jamaican keeper was so rocky back there and Jamaica wouldve folded like they normally do. I'm not a huge JK fan but atleast he benched Chandler. That is a small step in the right direction. Now get rid of Beckerman, Zusi, bench Alvardo, lose Wondo. And the subs of Mix and Gordon were useless. All I ever read online is play Mix and he was an absolute ghost out there last night. It is funny how the U.S. government is leading this charge about FIFA being corrupt, meanwhile the dirtiest of sleaze balls are the ones in CONCACAF. And I'm sure the USSF is just as bad. Better be careful for what you wish for Sunil...
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 22, 2015 -> 07:02 PM) Gotta give Jamaica credit though that first header was really well placed as was the FK. Guzan throwing that ball outside the box was absolutely unforgivable though. cant give any credit to Jamaica. Those types of things only happens if the defenders just stand around and do nothing. If Alvardo was half way decent, he would've easily cleared that ball.
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 22, 2015 -> 06:46 PM) Guzan with an awful game so far. This is embarrassing. Lalas was engineering the Guzan train during the pregame and Warren Barton was saying how Howard should walk in to be the #1 because Guzan basically chokes in pressure games. And Klinsmann looking like a moron again for always playing Alvarado. First goal was all on him.
  13. I'm thinking I'd bet the house on Mexico winning the Gold Cup so CONCACAF can get a playoff game for ticket and tv $$$$$
  14. So Jozy is dropped, probably because of injury, and Klinsmann brings up Gordon over Agudelo. This team is playing in the knockout stages with Wondo and Gordon as bench strikers. What The f***
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 11:39 PM) Watched the second half. The US had some good chances, but only converted one. Oh well, we didn't need a win. Ref was absolute s*** though. Bedoya should have had a penalty and there were a lot of 50/50 calls that didn't go the USMNT's way in the second half. Guzan was awesome at the end of the game. Bedoya was just outside of the box but it was still a foul. Chandler flat out sucks. Frustrating to know the only reason he's on this team is because he's German and JK pushed so hard to get him to make the switch. Alvarado sucks too. Tonight showed why Wondo is so useless. Unless it is a lucky bounce where he's standing at the right spot, he doesnt bring anything to the table. I'm starting to think there might be something towards the talk that the US is better against more technical teams. It is almost as if they cant handle playing the CONCACAF style of getting hacked to death anymore under Klinsmann. And Yedlin needs to stop diving out there. He isnt getting the calls and he has no credibility it seems because he goes down so easily.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 01:53 AM) After beating a depleted Cuba team 6-0, Mexico drew with Guatemala. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And we thought the USMNT were underperforming... Jamaica and T&T are the two teams that are playing up to or above their potential right now. Mexico hasnt been that great this year and without Hernandez who knows. Costa Rica?? Very uninspiring showing so far. Welcome back to reality? 7 of the 12 teams still havent lost a match yet. 3 of the 7 havent won a match either. It should make for a real interesting Hex. Might see a few different teams make a run for the the last automatic spot and the playoff spot. And of the possible different teams, I think it's safe to eliminate one and that is Canada. How bad are they? If there was ever be a time to be average by CONCACAF standards and make a run, this would be the cycle.
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 8, 2015 -> 10:08 AM) Agree with all of the above. US looked awful for the most part. I really like Zardes and Yedlin, but they are a forward and fullback, respectively, not mid fielders. Chandler is so weird. He's constantly graded as one of the better RBs in the Bundesliga but just looks terrible on the National team. I don't know why Eric Lichaj can't get a call. And Alvarado is not ready for this stage either. Gonzalez should be there. It sounds ridiculous, but I can actually see a scenario where Cameron Carter Vickers is one of our starters at CB in 2018. And yes, that ref was completely over his head last night. Bedoya needs to start over Zardes. Zardes is fine right now as a sub in last 20-30 minutes.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 11:39 PM) Why did Klinnsman play Alvarado instead of Gonzalez? I really hope Besler not being on the roster has something to do with MLS. Otherwise, he should definitely be on the roster.
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 11:13 PM) The U.S. Men's team needs an Improvement in strength and conditioning. They constantly look out of shape. I wouldnt say constantly but didnt look good tonight. 1. Should've gotten smoked tonight. Guess this team still has a big head from their meaningless friendly wins. 2. Klinnsman still showing he has zero clue on a back line. That is the best four? That line was so bad that Chandler wasnt nowhere near being the worst of the bunch. 3. Klinnsman has he favorites(anyone with a German born parent) but if you end up on his s*** list then its lights out for you. 4. This ref sucked even by CONCACAF standards. Honduras was hacking away all match long and he let them get away with it. 5. But its always fun to be dirty/cheap ass Central American teams. Between the flopping and hacking, it's annoying watching these teams.
  20. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 08:35 AM) Today is the one day off between the end of the women's WC and the men's Gold Cup. I know you think my expectations are too high, but I'll be disappointed at anything less than six wins for the US. so you'll be disappointed with a 5-0-1 Gold Cup title run?
  21. "there's going to be some hoochie coochie in the bathrooms of Santiago tonight" --Ray Hudson lol
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 03:48 PM) Gold Cup rosters have been released. I was really hopping for Jordan Morris to make the roster, but we're stuck with Wondo again... I was thinking the same thing but let's face it, if we need to use Wondo or Morris then we are in bad shape since that is the 4th striker/forward spot.
  23. Apparently it doesn't deserve its own thread lol
  24. m glad Rose isnt in the HOF and now this will seal his fate. He lied for 15 years and then comes "clean" when he was about to release a book. At the very least IMO, he should've had to wait 15 years before being allowed to ask for reinstatement since he that is how long he carried the lie for.
  25. so I made a wager in the Norway-Canada WWC match and watched it. my gosh, what a slopfest. I dont know how anyone can find this sport even slightly entertaining.
