Season is 3 minutes away from ending for Miami. Cant say I'm upset to be honest. This team is so flawed and everyone had career year's last year so people expected more. McClinton is injured and cant do much and since he doesnt make his teammates better, no one can step up when he isnt scoring. This team is void of any legit scoring options outside of McClinton. Last season when we played out of our ass really gave us Miami fans false hope for this season. Hopefully we dont accept an NIT bid and just call it a season. We got some good guys coming in next season so we need to build for 2010-2011 by playing these guys a lot next season.

Well Butler just cost one team an at-large bid. -
Could DePaul be this year's Georgia?

I also think these guys dont use head movements well. Chuck never got really tagged until recently and he fought most of his fights on his feet. Couture really moved his head well when he came back as a heavyweight a couple of years ago. Fedor has really good head movement too. He looked kinda funny against AA at times but he never got hit squarely and hasnt been really tagged in this entire career except for the Fujita fight. Lesnar has really good boxing technique IMO. But he can get away with that because he knows no one is going to take him down or even try to.

I loved season 6. I think Cheryl is a b**** so I like Larry being on his own. The lefty phone call and show when Larry and Leon mixed up their phones were my favorites. On a side note, I can believe its been 11 years since Seinfeld ended.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 09:42 AM) The promotional video was epic. Especially the fireworks and the middle finger hidden behind the glove hahaha, it was great. I especially liked them throwing in 9/11 for no reason whatsoever. Stevie trying to be a hard ass was pretty funny too.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 11:01 AM) Dana's probably waiting to save one of his golden grease (GSP) for the 100th show. Penn was supposed to fight on the show in June, but turned it down to spend time with family. fixed it for ya

What are the chances it wont be a Kansas/OU final?

Let him come in and catch a game or two a week and maybe DH once in awhile when we face a lefty. Do that and maybe come trading deadline we can trade him and get something in return.

I'm kinda blah about last night. Some real quick KO's but it annoys me on sloppy MMA stand up is. These guys need to learn to keep the hands up after throwing punches. No wonder there are so many KO's these days, people just leave themselves wide open for attacks. Carwin had a nice win but he's still got a ways to go. Lesnar wouldve caved Carwin's face in given the same openings Gonzaga had. Brown/Sell was entertaining. I didnt care to see this match but atleast I got a good laugh out of it. Hamill looked good. I think they are really protecting him though with his last to fights. Time for him to take it up a notch or two in competition. Rampage/Jardine was a good fight. Rampage didnt look that great but got a win against a good guy. I think Rampage's only chance against Evans is to land that one big punch but Evans is just so fast. Plus it'll be Rampage's 3rd fight in 5 months and that will take a toll on his body.

Two things I've noticed today. 1.Mexico has some very green grass. Almost looks fake. 2.Carlos Lee looks more thick/fat this season.

Miami completes the sweep of NC State 9-7. Trailed 7-0 after 3 innings but exploded for 7 in the 5th to give us an 8-7 lead before tacking on a run in the 8th. Congrats to Illinois for taking 2 of 3 at LSU.

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) It would have been nice if I could watch the end of it. Did they really need to switch to Duke/UNC? God forbid we miss 2 minutes of it. They switched it to Duke/UNC in Tally? They didnt switch it here in Orlando. That is weird.

wow, what a game. heartbreaking for ISU but this is why March Madness is so great.

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Mar 7, 2009 -> 10:40 PM) We got raped by BC. Damn it's going to be a long year. Was Geoff Parker suppose to be good this season?

Another outstanding pitching performance by a Miami starter in a 4-0 win over NC State. Pitching has been pretty lights out so far this season. Going for the sweep tomorrow.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 7, 2009 -> 05:22 PM) Michigan and Iowa may have just saved Wisconsin's NCAA chances. For some reason I had this sinking feeling that after the Gopher choke job that Wisconsin would be the last team left out. But if Wisconsin can beat Indiana tomorrow, the worst they can do is 4th place because I believe they have the tie breaker over OSU. IMO no way 4th place wont make it to the tourney. Last year Virginia Tech finished 4th in the ACC. In the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament, Virginia Tech beat 5th seeded Miami by 14. Miami got invited last year, VT played in the NIT. So you never know but Wisky has a good RPI and very good SOS. -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 7, 2009 -> 02:11 PM) Wow!!! so much for that unstoppable Dominican lineup! It's the A-Rod effect.

Nigel Powers: All right Goldmember. Don't play the laughing boy. There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch. I've never been more proud of my Dutch heritage!! I'm kinda excited to watch us take on Canada. I couldnt get into it last WBC but maybe because didnt win it makes me more interested this time around. Damn, the Holland catcher has a gun.

why did Tavares try to steal? What a moron.

Big 2 run walk off HR in the 12th for Miami in a 7-6 win over NCST. In Gainesville, Florida OF/WR Riley Cooper was ejected for the 2nd time in 11 games this year for his actions in a bench clearing brawl vs Duquesne. Duquesne's pitcher threw at the head of a Florida after letting up a HR.

Korea is taking Taipei to the woodshed. Some guy for Korea hit a mammoth grand slam in a 6 run first.

Those kids were so fast it was scary dangerous. The student sections were empty 5 seconds after the buzzer sounded.
