That is going to be a tough loss for FSU to get over. They were set up perfectly for a nice run. Senior laden team, very good defense and good enough offense and they cant get out of the first weekend. Going to be a totally different team next season since they start 4 seniors. They better hope Snaer decides to come back.

I dont think anyone would classify Marshall as a thug. Just someone who makes bad decisions that puts him in bad situations. It's good he caught his issues early and didnt end up like Barret Robbins.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 18, 2012 -> 07:47 PM) http://thequad.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/03/1...-the-dark-side/ Oh my, Scott Drew is shady, imagine that Shady yes but not surprising. I also wouldnt be quick to judge if I was a fan of a school that brought in so many transfers. -
while the Norfolk St win was fun for a day, it basically ruins the next game they play in. We couldve seen a fun Missouri-Florida game.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 17, 2012 -> 09:59 PM) Um ok...rather give my team best chance to advance lol, no s***. In the Sweet 16 and youre content? Screw that, your team has a chance to make a Final Four run and you would rather have a rematch against the best team in the land??

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 11:05 PM) It's funny how fans of each team hate one another during the season but once tourney time or bowl season comes its all go Big Ten or whichever conference. exactly. f*** rooting for rivals unless its a football bowl game against a team from the SEC. I will root for the team I dislike less. So if its VT-Notre Dame, go VT. If its VT vs Texas then VT can f*** themselves. -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) What did I miss? 69-68 St Mary's lead with 30 seconds left. Purdue gets called for traveling. St Mary's to inbound on the baseline and the StM player starts running the baseline. Of course traveling is called and Purdue ends up making 2 FTs on the next possession and the rest is history. Pound for pound, I'd say this play was dumber than Webber's play. Atleast Webber's team was losing at the moment of the timeout. But this played happened in the first round and not a title game. Plus having 2 #2 seeds losing will help bury this play too.

So did he find a new performance enhancer to take during his break or did he "retire" to clean his system?
-
St. Mary's with one of the biggest blunders I've ever seen.

Curveballs aren't more dangerous to young pitchers?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 14, 2012 -> 09:36 PM) THE COLONEL I've heard of him, if memory serves me correctly, he pitched in the 80's? Mostly early 90s with the A's and Marlins. Did pitch some on the 87 Twins and got a World Series watch. I guess back then they didnt give everyone and their mother rings and the team voted to give him a watch instead. -
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 14, 2012 -> 11:06 PM) Arizona loses at home to Bucknell. Nice season Pac 12 Normally I'd say this is a case of a big school just going through the motions but this is the Pac-12 we're talking about.
-
Good thing the selection committee decided that the PAC-12 should have 2 team in this tournament.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 08:46 AM) Now you have to tell us who your uncle is. Joe Klink Let's see if anyone knows who he is. haha -
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) I really like Peter O'Brien. Probably a late 1st rounder. Yeah, he has been very good. Big, strong catcher with power. Wonder if he stays at catcher or moves to first base in the pros. Guess it all depends on how his power numbers translate.

Good trade for both the Bears and Phins. Bears finally get a WR threat for Cutler. Dolphins clear space for Manning and Wayne. And if Miami doesnt get Manning/Wayne then there is no reason to have Marshall around. Kinda like a last place team with a stud closer. Just get rid of him and get something in return because you arent going to be competing for a playoff spot.

my uncle played in the majors for about 5 seasons and made his living as a lefty who had a good curve. He would always tell me as long as you threw it right then you'd have no issues. -
Anyone but Florida but go Miami. Got swept vs Florida but really blew the finale. Blew a 2 run lead in the 9th when our closer, who has been battling an injury, got bombed.

QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 11, 2012 -> 08:52 PM) South Florida is my sleeper here. They could make the sweet 16 at least; maybe the Elite 8. They could also score 44 points and lose to Cal.

Pittsburgh should be ashamed of themselves for accepting a spot in the tournament.
