amazing finish in the Russia-Canada Juniors semifinal. Russia was up 6-1 in the 3rd before Canada scored 4 goals from the 9 minute mark to the 4 minute mark. Russia then switched goalies and stopped another 7 shots in the final few minutes to hold on 6-5.

sitting at 5, the Bucs can go in a lot of directions that will make me happy but I would love me some Blackmon on the Bucs. A WR corp of Blackmon, Mike Williams and Benn would get me excited. -

I wonder which team will be dumb enough to overspend on Matt Flynn. -
QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 11:34 AM) So you were mad that a guy out eating with his family and close friends didn't want to take a picture for you but still offered to give you a signature? I don't think Brock is a good person or anything but that is ridiculous, I'd be bothered if I'm out with my family and people were asking for photos too, it isn't the place for it. Totally agree. Lesnar is trying to eat with his family, let the guy be.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 25, 2011 -> 05:24 PM) Team ****heads built a 35 point lead in this game, and yet Bosh, Wade, and James were all still on the court with 3:00 left. They finally sat down and Dallas's reserves cut a 20 point lead to 11 in those 3 minutes. There's what, 65 more to go? I dont see the problem in it. With the small camp, they are probably just getting their work in. Everyone said it might be sloppy to start because of the layoff so why not take advantage of a 35 point lead to try to knock off some rust. Kinda like a pitcher coming back from a long layoff and getting bombed in the first 2 innings but he keeps throwing to work on stuff. If this was in February or March then I could see your point.

can someone get Kobe a uniform that fits? I guess only the West will be interesting because the East is already decided.

I wonder if RG3 season and hype had anything to do with Barkley staying. Before the season he was thought of as the 2nd best QB prospect. Now he might be viewed as the 3rd prospect and that might drop him out of the top 10, depending on needs of teams. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) How the hell did the Jaguars win any games Defense won them 4 games this year. Their defense has given up just 38 points in their 4 wins this year. The Jags must be kicking themselves for not taking Tebow 2 years ago. Gabbert is just awful. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 07:31 PM) This guy is so awful how does this crap keep happening? Because: 1. He is going up against teams with s***ty offenses. With the Denver D, he only needs to find a way to score 13-17 points to win. 2. When facing a good defense, those defenses for whatever reason decide to play soft and give a guy who is sucking a chance to make weird things happen. Tebow will most likely be facing the Steelers/Ravens in the first round of the playoffs. That will be an easy win for those teams. -

how did Tebow go from 3-16 to finishing 18-36? Did the Bears play prevent or something? -
QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 12:20 AM) i actually thought the trade made the lakers into s***. if/when bynum goes down with injury, who would be the other big man on the roster? oh and Odom seems a tad perturbed (per realgm): “Imagine how Pau feels,” Odom said. “Pau came to the Lakers and played here for four years, went to the Finals and lost, won two NBA championships and then got swept [by the Dallas Mavericks this year]. Wow! Imagine how he must feel. “Man, I’m just in total disbelief about all of this,” Odom continued. “They don’t want my services, for whatever reason. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I was proud to be a Laker, so I’ll try to help them in the process as much as possible." I think most believe this was the start in the Lakers attempt to acquire Howard. I cant imagine the Lakers giving up Odom and Gasol and being happy with just Paul to go alongside Kobe.

Looks like he did well at Toledo. 14-2 within the conference shows that he can produce results within an equal playing field. It's not a real 'sexy' hire but the hype isnt there this year for the next MAC coach who is destined to be great. But he has midwest ties so that will help recruiting wise. Who else is out there really? -

I dont like how the Bruins will only be facing the Flyers and Rangers 2 times a year now. And the Jets only hosting 6 games against other Canadian teams is just stupid.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 07:49 PM) Little Caesars Western Michigan vs Purdue Insight Iowa vs Oklahoma Meineke Car Care of Texas Northwestern vs Texas A&M Kraft Fight Hunger Illinois vs UCLA TicketCity Houston vs Penn State Outback Michigan State vs Georgia Capital One Nebraska vs South Carolina Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl Ohio State vs Florida Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio Wisconsin vs Oregon Allstate Sugar Virginia Tech vs Michigan Thats what I have looking at it negatively. Michigan got handed one of the worst BCS teams in recent history so they should win that game. Neb, ILL, Pur, OSU should be toss ups that could go either way. The rest dont look so hot. I honestly dont think Wisconsin has a chance against Oregon, it is possibly the worst matchup for them, especially this year with their defense. Yeah but VT got handed a pretty bad BCS team too. I'd lean towards Michigan but I wouldnt be shocked to see VT win. This is one of the worst Florida teams in who knows how many years and I'm not just talking record wise. Their offense is an absolute joke. In their last 7 games against FBS schools(Alabama,LSU,Auburn,Georgia,Vandy,South Carolina,FSU) they've score only 8 offensive touchdowns. I know Ohio State doesnt have a great offense but if they can score atleast 17 points then they should win. I cant imagine Florida scoring more than 17 points. I keep forgetting Nebraska is in the Big 10 now. I see South Carolina rolling through them. Georgia should win but if Richt lays an egg like he is known to do, the MSU could take that game. I see OU smoking Iowa. I dont see Penn State scoring enough points to keep up with Houston. -

sucks that Keenum couldnt get an invite. 45 TDs to 5 INTS. Over 5000 yards passing. I guess Houston not having a television contract with ESPN killed his chances of an invite. -

You mean when USC had those bad losses to Stanford(07) and at Oregon St(08) they fell from the number 1 ranking to around 7th or 8th. Both losses happened in September or early October and because they didnt lose again, they were able to climb the rankings when other teams lost. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 05:40 PM) The same f***ing thing could be said for alabama. I don't understand how you have a point. They had their shot and failed. And they were dropped behind OSU in the polls after losing. So OSU should not be penalized for losing 2 weeks later to Iowa State? For years people would say, "its not who you lose to but when you lose." Are people really expecting the voters not to drop OSU any spots when losing the second to the last game of the season to a 6-6 team when there are other 1 loss teams out there? -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) Yep. Alabama got in because they are Alabama. Let's not kid ourselves. If OSU had dropped the State off the end of their name, they'd undoubtedly be in right now. Or if OSU wouldve dropped Iowa State when they were 28 point favorites then they'd undoubtedly be in right now. OSU controlled their own destiny and they failed. They had their shot at playing LSU but they lost to a 6-6 team. -

I could buy that if Alabama had retained the number 2 BCS spot over OSU after the loss to LSU. But Alabama fell back and OSU had their chance in this "tournament". So you think OSU should retain their #2 ranking after a loss to Iowa St? Who else can make an argument for that second spot since losses shouldnt count unless its in a rematch situation? Stanford who got worked at home against Oregon Oregon who got smoked by LSU and lost to USC Boise? -

If you want to say the Penn St win is overrated then the same can easily be said for OSU wins against Kansas St, Texas and TAMU.
