De Aza on the block doesnt make much sense, the other bats Tank and Beckham I have no problem trading if they can get similar production from the other side of the plate in the trade. The Sox NEED a LH bat. The 3 way trade talk is very intriguing.

Watching Meyers Leonard right now makes me regret not watching "My Illini" the last few years...Kid looks like a player.

I really just want a LH 3-8 slot hitter at 3B. They may lose AJ so they'll be left with De Aza and Dunn as the only LHers in the lineup and I dont think thats a recipe for success. I really want another LHer at C too. Chase Headley, Matt Carpenter, Jed Lowrie, Mike Moustakus, Kyle Seager, and kinda Steve Lombardozzi fit the bill of what I want.

Ya I just checked out his minor league stats, pretty brutal. Sub .900 FLD% is no bueno. He was 20 years old and it was his first year over here in the US so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. Could it also be a smoke screen? It's pretty clear this team needs a 3B so we have no leverage in a trade involving one.

I don't think thats too much of a pipe dream if Headleys truly available, which with Gyrko waiting in the wings and the $$ Chase is about to make, it would make sense that he would be. Getting Hamilton might be the bigger stretch as I'm sure some team is gonna over pay him.

If they can get a guy like Headley or Josh Hamilton who can be that guy and can trade Dunn for something of value then sure I won't complain. But if we go into next season with no threat from the left side of the plate I will be very disappointed. It would be pre all in all over again.
