  1. Whatever works for you guys works for me.
  2. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 22, 2012 -> 10:51 AM) For most liquor stores, no, but you should be able to find 24oz bottles of some local brews in the fridge section. That said, if you are near a local brewery you like, you can go there and get a growler. Growler = something I can take home? I am near 3 Floyds Brewery.
  3. Since Monday is a wrestling day I'll post another video. This video showcases the NXT champ Seth Rollins, or Tyler Black as he went by when I used to watch him on the Indys. All this footage is from his matches in the IWA, I was at every match. really well put together video, I love the beginning where they pull all these quotes from message boards. I haven't seen any of his work in NXT but he apparently still does the hardcore dancing. I'm excited to see what they do with him. My fantasy is he gets called up as a Heyman guy along with Hero(Ohno) and Moxley(Ambrose) and there's a survivor series match with those 3, Punk and Lesnar vs. a Team Cena or Team WWE...but thats a pipe dream.

  5. Made some $$ yesterday moving boxes at my moms work...do 40 oz of craft beers exist? I don't wanna spend too much but I wanna drink a little for the Bears game/Raw.
  6. In a shocking turn of events, my last place talkbears league won and my 1,2, and 4 place teams are all on the verge of losing pretty badly...Oh fantasy football you silly silly game. Talkbears team had all 3 of my starting WRs White, Bowe, Floyd on a bye week, and Pierre Garcon was out. So i went to battle with effin Kendal Wright and Josh Gordon yet I managed 109 points and a W.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 21, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) Why must the NFL schedule 8 games at noon? We only have 6 tvs in our living room, how am I supposed to watch all the games? BALLLIN! Thanks for answering my question guys now I forgot to pick up a WR! I also forgot Jeffery was hurt....Fail.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 3, 2012 -> 10:32 AM) Adam Schefter is saying that Suggs thinks he will be back by October, per a "source" i will be extremely surpised if that is the case SURPRISE!
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 20, 2012 -> 06:15 PM) Quite the 4th quarter collapse by NW. And that was a home game for Nebraska, the NW fans were way outnumbered Ya that one hurt a little, they would have probably got back in the top 25 with that win. Ugly game for both teams.
  10. Wow how ironic with your words on living up to potential. To add to the irony this thread is bringing, my ex unblocked me on AIM (yes i still rock AOL instant messenger) a few days ago when I first began talking about her.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 20, 2012 -> 05:37 PM) smoke a blunt Where's the like button? Lol ouch Red,
  12. Northwesterns new helmets are pretty sweet. Huge break on that punt there. Muff party in Evanston. 3 Muffs in a little over a quarter.
  13. Ok I need to fill in for a bye week at WR in my money league. I have Alshon Jeffery but he's being kept on the roster as a wait and see kinda guy. Do I go with him or a FA pickup of Hartline, Kendall Wright, Josh Gordon, or Brandon Gibson. Wright and Gordon have the best matchups but with Amendola out Gibson looks to be STL #1. It's really a toss up at this point. What are your opinions?
  14. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Oct 20, 2012 -> 11:53 AM) It's basic due diligence IMO. It looks like the NY media is going to try to force ARod out of town via s***storm. Basically, the same thing that happened with Contreras when we got him except far worse due to expectations, money owed, etc. It simply makes sense for the Sox to throw their hats in the ring if ARod would waive his NTC to come here. No one *has* to trade for ARod. No one *has* to assume a stupid contract. In a *sane* (i.e. not Dodgers) world, we'll see several teams swirling around like sharks in the water waiting to see how far the Yankees can bend over & how deep they want to take it, and if they are prepared to do something drastic, it would be at best poor form to not go after him. Just on the surface, we can offer Dunn's 2 years (opening up the DH spot for ARod/Paulie), and the Yankees have wanted Thornton for a while. Kenny has been after Betances also. We may already have an obvious framework of Dunn + Thornton + prospect(s) for ARod + Betances + tons of cash. I'd rather have ARod over the next 2 years as a DH anyway. And as far as unethical players, at this point, I'm not sure that's even an issue as long as he's good in the clubhouse. Our starting C next year may very well be a former unethical player, and depending on his AFL and ST, we may see another unethical player in middle relief next year, plus who knows how many other unethical players we'll have on the roster that we don't know about and never will know about. It's part of the game, ARod's already in the Hall, and the records he'll continue to set are just going to be numbers, not keystones of statistical baseball history. I like this post but idk about trading Dunn for Arod just because Dunn is left handed andddd the whole reason we'd get him is because we have a gaping hole at 3rd. In this situation if they can pick up a LH power bat I'd be game.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 20, 2012 -> 09:27 AM) a lot to digest in this discussion. First, saint, in regards to your love lost: The cliches unfortunately are true for the most part. Fish in the sea, you will find another, etc. It is up to you to decide when you are over it. I dated a girl starting freshman year of college and broke up junior year for good, and I broke up with her for a bunch of different reasons. She flipped the script on me, started dating the guy that lived directly behind my apartment, so i basically had to watch what was going on. It truly drove me crazy. I was sleeping maybe 1 hour at a time at night, made the crazy ex boyfriend calls, talked a lot of s*** meant to split them up. Totally ruined a bunch of friendships for myself. One night, i had a one night stand(which was totally out of character for me) and it was over. I didnt need her anymore, the mental block was gone. I am not saying run out and find a girl to take home, everybody is different, but very obviously that mental block for you is still there in regards to her. In regards to puffin and stuff, i have mixed feelings. Up until a few months ago, I was a pretty regular user. Not all day all the time at first, but when the kids were away/went to bed. But it starts to bleed into normal time, and starts to control what you do. Pretty soon, you are sneaking it here and there, and it becomes normal. A pretty significant thing happened, not with the law but in my household, and it had to stop. Im not done forever, but I am done for now. It IS addictive. It IS hard to stop. The rationale we give ourselves is that it doesnt hurt us, it doesnt hurt people, it makes you laugh, it makes you mellow. It also makes you lazy, it makes you put things off. you notice these little things, and again rationalize them and think that you will get to it later and it will be fine. It hardly ever happens. Sometimes a big break is very helpful to your personal life. A crutch that was always there is removed, and you are forced to tough it out. First bold statement- I think I'm over her for the most part but its just the fact that in the 2 years since I've only had a real job for 7 months (9 if you wanna include the Beachbody Coach where I actually lost money). That real job was at a condo building filed with gorgeous girls, some models even, and I didn't feel like looking for a serious girlfriend because I had all this eye candy to look at and I didn't wanna feel guilty about starring at these girls. Key word in that last sentence is looking, I wasn't looking but if someone came along and found me I would go for it. I had a little "fling" with this DJ at this dive bar me and a couple friends to went to on Thursdays for karaoke and it honestly made me forget about her but then I lost my job and was back to thinking about the old times with my ex. So really once I start working I'll get back on the scene and be fine. 2nd bold statement- If you're smoking at the right time you won't be as lazy. When I was working and buying my own stuff I always used it as a reward. If I had something to do I'd do it and then treat myself to a bowl. Back then I was in the best shape of my life, 250-260 solid, and was working out a few days a week, it wasn't until after the workout was done that I'd light up. But now, well up until 3 weeks ago, I was smoking on my friends schedule so I didn't have that same pleasure. I can't fall asleep till 3am so waking up before the 10am that my buddy wants me to come by is almost impossible for me to do in order to get a good workout in before I smoke. I had been getting on the treadmill for a few miles a day halfway between smoke sessions so I haven't been completely lazy. Oh and Reddy, I know what you we're trying to do and I appreciate that but I was telling you what I was going to do and you continued on to make my decisions look turrable. I'm not settling on security, security is what I want to do, at this point in time journalism or a restaurant/food truck are just unrealistic goals and I know that. For those who follow the squared circle thread know I'm on CM Punks nuts as much as greg is on Ozzies, and the "Straight edge means I'm better than you" is something he says. When you said you were edge it reminded me of this.
  16. QUOTE (Reddy @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 11:04 PM) lol not at all what i meant. i was genuinely surprised at how little i do any of those things anymore. it was a weird realization lightbulb-y moment. but yes i'm better than you. I think we've established from your posts that you don't mean that green. It's clear I don't live up to your standards. You can't say you're edge if you still do it a little though.
  17. QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 07:42 PM) And. We're. Back. With an Alaskan Smoked Porter. This has been a whale for me. Many moons ago I bought a Michael Jackson book...er a book using his name anyway, and this was one of his favorites. I've never had access until now and sure enough I stumbled on it at Woodmans. Now I love smoked beers and this bad boy is a really good example of a really nicely balanced smokey beer. Plenty of sweet chocolate with a medium body preventing it from becoming cloying. The smoke has a nice camp fire aroma. Impressively drinkable. That sounds fantastic. When I drink, I always hit up a place called Beer Geeks here in NWI. I'll go in there and grab a "Breakfast stout" and a "This one goes to 11 Ale". It's just amazing stuff. Descriptions from their website.... 11 Ale-Opens with bright, juicy aromas such as tropical fruits & ripe cherries, largely derived from massive kettle & dry hop additions of Southern Hemisphere hop varieties such as Galaxy, Motueka and Summer. The citrus & resinous pine notes of the Pacific Northwest hop family are also well represented, making their presence known through Simcoe, Citra and the newly released Mosaic varietal just to name a few. A wide range of specialty malts anchor the hops in this Imperial Red Ale, contrasting the assertive bitterness & juicy aromatics with a robust, toasty depth of flavor. Breakfast Stout-Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We're actually not sure if this is some kind of coffee cake or a beer. An intense fresh roasted coffee nose topped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade. ...I don't drink much anymore but for the most part when I do it's there....If I have to go "cheap" Im grabbing some Shock Top.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 04:24 PM) Yeah, but as always, context matters. The context must have worked out, he already accepted. I wonder if TravD from the talkbears league posts here? My team is still terrible (last place) but I got tired of how terrible my RBs are. Anyone in that league that wants Gronk send me an offer.
  19. Ya alcohol is the worst! The only time in the last 4 years that I've drank heavily is around my birthday and at rugby after parties. I can really do without drinking. It's craft beer or bust for me if I drink.
  20. I'm Taj.0, I thought this league would fill up real quick.
  21. Roddy white for Jamaal Charles sound like fair deal? My RBs are turrable.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 01:08 PM) I thought he was already dead for some reason... This
  23. Alcohol is full of empty calories, while marijuana may give you the munchies (which it doesn't for this guy). The war on marijuana is ridiculous, its a miracle drug. Look up confessions of a medical marijuana patient and then tell me how bad it is. It's not like other prescribed drugs where it can be abused to the point of death. My aches and pains go away when I used it (seriously the last 3 weeks the pain has come back). Your body actually has cannabinoid receptors in the cartilage of ones joints. Educate yourself on the positive effect it has, it's really mind blowing.
