QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) I will now open myself up to new names Lot A Drinker?

Its the Commissioner's home park-anything is possible

Yes, this is a confidence builder for Danks-pretty good for a first start. We definatly need a better book on this Cudd Year. We never get him out

Do you believe Billy Packer?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 03:12 PM) Actually I can. He gave a definition for the word he used, that definition makes NO sense when substituted into the comment. Therefore either he just has terrible grammar and should be pulled off TV because he doesn't know how to talk or he's lying. I never even said I had a problem with what he said, I just hate the fact that he's lying to cover his ass. He isn't even going to face any sort of suspension for what he said, just own up you pussy. He shouldnt be suspended. Again, the term "f**ged out" was used a lot to describe when one or another was tired out back in the 70's-the term may have evolved from England where at one time a cigarette was called a f** too in the 60's. -

For all you Hammers fans, West Ham wins a big one against Arsenal today -
With ticket prices, refund issues, and TV to some point dictating times of games, we may see more retractable roofs in the future.

All Contract Talks Done Till After Season

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 11:22 AM) Kenny has already stated that he wants his prospective free agents to test the open market, I don't hold much faith in the 15 day exclusive negotiating rights window being used. Sure-that gets him off the hook -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 31, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) Isn't the Score supposed to have some sort of "Major Sox Announcement" during the North show on Monday morning? Wouldn't this be pretty perfect for something like that? They'll probably announce that they have a listener

He's so fundamenally sound, I would be very pleased if we sign Gooch
-
Just like any team, we will depend on a few players having Career years to get us over the top. This is entirely possible if Uribe and Brian Anderson raise their games. There no worry about Thome, Konerko, Dye, and Crede to drive in runs. We are gonna thrive on homers, and half our games are in a homer park.
-
I hope that climate is part of the equasion when it comes to evaluating Haeger above all else because of the knuckler. He can be much more effective in the air at home
-
I dont like it either-Gooch is a much better hitter against right handers than left. There's little to gain with a lefty second and a runner on first. I see more double plays this way

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 01:18 PM) Other than the comparison of Gio to Santana, this might be the most inaccurate post of the year. Your opinion-check the ratings

I never watch it anymore. Used to take days off to watch-but it has become the most redundant, overhyped, overrated event in sports, next to the NBA playoffs
-
QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 09:05 AM) as long as Rob Mack isnt in the outfield i'm cool. And Osuna

Based on recent happenings-dont be surprised if the Rowand trade happens, Jon Lieber is involved too

How is Seattle at home a "Prime" series?
klaus kinski replied to Hideaway Lights's topic in Pale Hose Talk
You think? There are some real strange "prime" games they overcharge for -
Well, there are 2 articles in the Philadelphia papers today questioning bullpen depth of the Phillies, especially with Tom Gordon returning to Philadelphia to see a doctor. I think I can see where something could happen because of our bullpen depth. Half way thru ST, its the time for a deal that both teams seem to need.

March 9th: White Sox vs. Arizona
klaus kinski replied to Flash Tizzle's topic in 2007 Season in Review
This team is complacent again-like last year-are they being told not to try because its pre-season? I hope so-we were a third place team, remember that? -
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 07:49 AM) So let's see how this makes sense. Ozzie wants 3 lefties for the pen. We have Thornton, Sisco (who I think should be starting down at Charlotte) and Logan. For our OF spots, Jermaine Dye is a given. Scott Podsednik will make the roster if he's healthy, and Darin Erstad is going to have a role so that's 3 guys. Rob Machowiak and Pablo Ozuna play as backup OF's, and Brian Anderson is either going to start in CF for the Sox or the Knights. So how do you fit a guy like Rowand into that mix, especially if then you have to replace Logan as well? Do you really want Osuna & Mack in the outfield? Personally we need LEGIT outfielders.

Levine reports Sox and Buehrle to talk
klaus kinski replied to Harry Chappas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Mark should listen to 3/42. What if he has another year like last year. If he took that-he's set for life-regardless of how hard he's rocked next year. If you are listening Mark, consider this, and sign. -
