QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 12:08 AM) I think Kimbo walks through Tank no problem tonight. Tank's washed up. Washed up? He was never that good to begin with. His record is 9-13 and has never beaten anyone noteworthy.

QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 11:59 PM) Men cry in office are called patriotic, and brave. Women cry and they are weak and emotional. I remember several media outlets clapping with optimism the tears bush would shed over spicy kung pao meal. Said "it makes him more human, like us." You think if Obama started crying while talking about struggles as a black man, he would be considered patriotic and brave? And when Hillary cried earlier in the primary season, she wasn't called weak and emotional; she was accused of being a faker precisely because she is thought of as NOT being weak and emotional.

The Oceanic 6 are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Jin, and Sun. These are just the six people from the flight that the media knows got back though; more may have returned but been kept secret.

Chris Berman goes apesh**
CrimsonWeltall replied to greasywheels121's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
He's yelling at them because they weren't making him look good. They were distracting him while he was on air. -
Nice job by Desmond, Hurley, etc of not elaborating on the fact that the "rescue ship" was complete BS. "Charlie changed his mind"

BCS vs. NFL Superbowl Champion
CrimsonWeltall replied to shipps's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
The best team is the team that plays the best. It doesn't matter if you have the most talent or you're the best "on paper", you have to perform. If the Giants win, they're the champions. Of course they are. With the BCS, teams are eliminated from the National Championship picture based on opinions, not wins and losses. If the Patriots don't end up champions, it's because they LOST. Any system where you can go undefeated and not be the champion is garbage. -
I miss breakthrough and conquer.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 02:12 PM) The show will get better when it gets its feet under it. Right now they are just going for the ratings and pops from the crowd, so everything is overly dramatic and forced. Anyone notice Big Country waiting for Adonis to catch up, and purposefully dropping the rope on the down-ramp? I wasnt a fan of it. And what the heck, how can they underuse Helga? That girl should be on most of the events Which events? I'm not convinced she would be any good at anything besides Gauntlet and maybe Assault.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 04:45 AM) My first thought of Wolf-Man is that he looks like an old version of Malibu from the original gladiators. No, Malibu looks like Steve-O

That's a pretty stupid signature move.

Finally a hot gladiator

National Treasure 2 was one of the most nonsensical movies I've ever seen. It was still mildly entertaining.

Seems like a publicity stunt to get Cuban's no-name league in some news.

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 11:18 PM) We'll see. Nice to see the accusations fly. Of course I wouldn't put that past you, or a weak attempt at sarcasm claiming it was Dole/Kemp. All current and former clients were listed to show how widely used this company is. It's funny hearing the rabid lefties rant about how much they hate Ron Paul and his supporters because "they are crazy". Rex: pot kettle black. lol. Ron Paul is pretty popular among "lefties" due to his stance on the War in Iraq and civil liberties (not all people who lean Democrat do so because they want a European socialist-lite government). I think he's more hated by the pro-Bush 25% than anyone else.

It was a typical Hollywood happy ending. Also, the bit with the butterfly ala "Signs" was completely unnecessary.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Dec 9, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) At which point, he will absolutely maul Griffin. I don't follow UFC too closely, more of a casual fan. But, it seems to me that Forrest Griffin is the Notre Dame of UFC. Hasn't he lost an awful lot, and he still continues to get these big pushes? He's 6-2 in the UFC and has faced pretty good competition (Bonnar, Tito, Jardine, Shogun).

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 7, 2007 -> 04:56 AM) Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Is that not D3? If so, then I apologize for getting people's hopes up. My friend told me a new D3 was coming out and I just posted it on here on a whim. My apologies. Is Hellgate: London not D3? Hellgate London is not D3. The closest thing to D3 was called Titan Quest.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 29, 2007 -> 08:16 PM) It seems beyond dispute that there is a strong bias against using the word “Christmas†to describe not only the shopping season, as noted above, but also events, parades, and festivals that happen during the Christmas season. There is, however, a bit of an exception -- "Christmas" is a word that is much more acceptable to use when "Scrooge" employers are letting people go. Cross-posted at BizzyBlog.com. That guy is pretty lazy. He didn't even note that "Happy Holidays" results outnumber "Happy Christmas" results, thus proving that the media doesn't want to associate Christmas with happiness.
