here you go Barock Obama > Dennis Kuscissorich > Ron Paulper > Barock Obama

Is there any set of candidates where you would pick A over B, B over C, and C over A? If not, then you might as well just make a list (A > B > C), rather than list out every possible matchup.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 19, 2007 -> 03:25 AM) Did you play the 3rd Metroid Prime? I traded my Wii for a 360 so I never got the opportunity to see how it was. I've heard good things. The Wiimote control scheme is supposed to be pretty damn good. Some people even like it better than keyboard/mouse.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 19, 2007 -> 03:12 AM) I'm a console gamer. Of course I'd list all the console shooters. I played the 360 version of TF2 and wasn't impressed in the slightest, neither was my roommate who played the original TF (and was addicted) and also TF2 for the PC. The maps are lacking, the guns are limited and all too much powerful all together. There's no clan support, which, if it's TEAM Fortress 2, why the f*** not? And, judging from what you say about Snipers and Spy's, you must not understand the team elements of TF2, either. The guns are unique and interesting. What do you mean they're all too powerful? You think it's too easy to die? Find a medic. I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of clan support. It's not difficult for clans to get together and face each other on their servers. As far as spys and snipers are concerned, they're classes which contribute to the team as a whole but generally work alone. Yes, I finished the original on NES (eh), Super Metroid (great), and one on Gameboy I don't remember much about (also eh). Can you not name a clever or memorable puzzle from Metroid Prime?

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 18, 2007 -> 10:09 AM) 1. Halo 1,2,3. Counterstrike. Call of Duty 4 (and even probably 3). Resistance Fall of Man. Rainbow Six: Vegas. Every Socom game ever made. I could continue. TF2 is absolute crap compared to the very best of online shooters. Plus, you can go off in most of these games and do your own thing--just go around shooting people in things like "Free-For-All." TF2 is an extremely limited and tired game. 2. Metroid Prime is free roaming in that, yes, while certain parts of the map are blocked off until you solve a puzzle, every part of the map that you've unlocked is free game up until you've beaten it all. 1. l disagree with almost every element of your list (haven't played them all). I also notice your list tends greatly toward console shooters. No mention of Battlefield, UT, Quake, etc. Did you play TF2 on 360 or PC? And what exactly do you not like about TF2? The fact that it's tough to Rambo? I think that's a good thing. If you really don't want to cooperate with people, you can always play Sniper or Spy, who don't require much assistance. The only downside at the moment is the lack of maps, which should get better of time since HL2 has always had an very active community. 2. Which is good, why? To allow the player to spend 30 minutes backtracking to pick up a missile pack?

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 18, 2007 -> 10:02 AM) It's more a puzzle game than a FPS. Graphics are overrated. I guess you don't enjoy a good, long puzzle? It's more of a fetch-quest game than a puzzle game. Portal is a puzzle game. Are there any puzzles in Metroid Prime that you found particularly clever?

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 18, 2007 -> 02:41 AM) Portal took about 5 hours and wasn't anything too impressive. Team Fortress, compared to all the other multiplayer online shooters out there, is a joke--not to mention they used the same maps they had in the original Team Fortress. By remake, I meant they remade it from the PC for console gaming. Metroid Prime is far superior than any of the games on The Orange Box. Even the original Nintendo version. Free roaming gameplay > Linear gameplay... just about always. Portal was short, but sweet. What current team-based shooters would you consider so much better than TF2 right now? Battlefield? Quake Wars? I don't disagree that it is awkward having a game and a nearly identical port of a game sitting on the same top 10 list. Metroid Prime is worse than ANY of the 5 elements of the Orange Box. Various areas are blocked based on your progress in the game. Just because it requires a lot of backtracking doesn't make it some non-linear dynamic game full of choices for the player.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 18, 2007 -> 02:07 AM) Ever play MP? Why wouldn't it be on there? It wouldn't be on there because it blows. Horrendous controls, boring weapons, plenty of jumping (always a treat in first-person games), and massive amounts of tracking/backtracking through ugly, uninspired levels. The only reason anyone liked Metroid Prime was its name.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 18, 2007 -> 01:49 AM) Then put Half-Life 2 in there, not The Orange Box, a s***ty-remake with some tag-on games like Team Fortress. Besides, Half-Life 2 wasn't even that good aside from the physics engine they put in. Half Life 2 is already on there at #10. Although I agree that HL2 is slightly overrated (and HL1 extremely overrated), the Orange Box is awesome. It isn't a remake. It's HL2, plus two-thirds of what is basically 'HL3', plus one of the most original games of the year (Portal), plus one of the best multiplayer games of the year. If you want to disqualify it for being a compilation instead of a single game, that's fine. But taken as a whole, it's pretty deserving. ...Certainly more so than Metroid Prime or Tekken 3. How are they on there?

It's easy to sympathize with an inner city teacher making a crappy salary and working in overcrowded, poorly funded classrooms. It's harder to sympathize with suburban teachers making more than the average household in their area complaining that their 6+% yearly raise isn't enough.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 10, 2007 -> 08:27 PM) Now that I think about it... One that gets me is when you're walking down a hallway or down a street, you pass someone you know, you either say "Hi" or give a casual hello or head nod or something because you're both clearly on your way somewhere, and the other one responds with some version of "How's it going" or some other question which not answering would be rude. Seriously, I'm trying to do stuff, I don't want to turn around & start a conversation all the time. Just say hi! "How's it going?" and "What's up?" also function as greetings now. You only need to answer it as a question if the other person stops walking in expectation of a conversation.

Doesn't matter how good your candidate is, only how bad the other candidate is.

THIS. Also, the people who seem completely unaware that the left lane is the fast lane. If you only want to go 55 mph, move to the right. If there is a giant space in front of you and a giant line of cars backed up behind you, you are probably not going fast enough for your lane.

$82k is slightly above the median family income. Median home price is $214k.

worst episode ever. the "michael likes to surprise people" sequence and the ending were the only decent parts.

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Nov 3, 2007 -> 05:59 PM) I cant tell by the previews, is "I am legend" supposed to be like 28 Days later or what? It looks interesting. I think it's more like The Omega Man

Could a team of you and your friends

At some point when they were trying to block you, they'd catch some arm and you'd get free throws. The only scenario I'd be really worried about would be if they started missing shots on purpose and dominating the glass just to refresh the shot clock and hold the ball the entire game. -
The male singer in the PS2 version of GH3 is the most frightening thing I've ever seen in a video game. He looks like one of the Goombas from the live action Mario Bros movie.

You would probably have to run it on minimum settings.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 02:17 AM) Okay, would an Intel® 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family (graphics card) be good to run computer games with, such as the upcoming Gears of War game? I don't know anything about it specifically, but integrated graphics are generally on the weak side. My guess would be no. Look on forums for the game you are interested in.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Oct 27, 2007 -> 02:10 AM) is there a way to be able to tell what type of graphics card my computer has right from the computer without having to search through manuals and such? Right Click My Computer => Properties => Hardware Tab => Device Manager => the + next to Display Adaptors

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 22, 2007 -> 02:44 AM) Amanda wearing the Jigsaw costume was a pretty specific implication, no? No. Perhaps she was necessary to help kidnap the people because Jigsaw was such a gimp, but that doesn't imply she set up the house. Plus, in the tapes that accompanied various rooms, it was Jigsaw's voice explaining the situations, which implies that he devised (or at least approved) the traps.
