  1. The "magic bullet" idea requires that the Conally be directly in front of JFK. He wasn't. He was in a lower seat and more toward the middle of the car. It's a straight line from Kennedy's throat into Conally's back/rib. From there, it did redirect into his wrist and then thigh. Also, if you go frame by frame, you see that Kennedy's head actually goes forward for one frame when he is hit in the head. Then, when the bullet exits above his right ear, he suddenly jerks back. This could be because of the force of the pieces of his head exploding out or just an involuntary jerk reaction of the body.
  2. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 06:25 PM) " A white man gets a rifle and shoots deer, that's a sport. A black man fights dogs and that's a crime"-- Cris Rock. That comment was meant as a joke, but seriously, isn't hunting just as bad??? I have no problem with hunting for practical purposes (food, thinning overgrown populations). Hunting purely for sport makes me a little uneasy, but at least in that case, the animals are living normal lives until the moment they are shot; they're not being spending a huge portion of their life being tortured and eventually killed.
  3. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 06:24 AM) Im not arguing if its sick or not, and definitely should be punishments for torturing animals. But in the end I think we cant forget that they are just animals. What would be more appropiate is a huge fine/fee for everything he did, probation, and many many many hours of volunteer work. I just dont think someone should do serious jail time for animals. Frankly, I don't want people capable of that level of cruelty and who enjoy creating that kind of suffering to be around the rest of us in society.
  4. QUOTE (sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 03:00 AM) I'm sure a poster that read "why be gay? chicks are hot" would be embraced by the gay community. Gay people do not consider being gay a choice, so why would anyone ask them that question?
  5. QUOTE (sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 01:27 AM) Link I get it, anyone can spread their message... but "why believe in god? be good for goodness sake" is just offensive for the sake of grabbing headlines. if these signs just said "be good for goodness sake" no one would care = no one would bother to be interested with this organization. This is the same thing as the "God Hates f**s" people. Why is that offensive? It's an honest question.
  6. I really don't want him to win (and I think it's ridiculous that a guy who is 1-1 is getting a title shot), but I think Lesnar will take it.
  7. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Nov 8, 2008 -> 01:35 AM) I went to Catholic school and had to do community service, but thats a private institution which students choose to go to (or parents decide to send kids). Big difference from a public institution. i know the Democrats, and this is the exact type of thing they would do. also, if the Republicans were doing this the same people who support this would be in an uproar. I can tell you that my public high school required a community service stint to graduate. I helped out at a Kids' After School Program. Other students volunteered at hospitals, nursing homes... I want to say it was like 20 hours, but I don't recall.
  8. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 1, 2008 -> 09:49 PM) Jason running?!?!?
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 12:42 AM) What do you mean? Schwarzenegger has killed many guys. BUT DEY WERE ALL BAD
  10. This post is 10 days late HAPPY BIRTHDAYE
  11. No litmus test for Supreme Court justices...but if they agree with Roe v Wade, they obviously suck and I won't pick them.
  12. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 12, 2008 -> 02:02 AM) an excellent article about the tactics being used by Obama and the Dems. Corporate liberals have done their share in shutting down anti-liberal speech, too. "Saturday Night Live" ran a spoof of the financial crisis that skewered Democrats like House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank and liberal contributors Herbert and Marion Sandler, who sold toxic-waste-filled Golden West to Wachovia Bank for $24 billion. Kind of surprising, but not for long. The tape of the broadcast disappeared from NBC's Website and was replaced with another that omitted the references to Frank and the Sandlers. Evidently NBC and its parent, General Electric, don't want people to hear speech that attacks liberals. That sketch is still up on NBC.com and the part with the Sandlers isn't gone.
  13. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 03:50 AM) Our military forces are probably in Pakistan right now. I don't remember getting their permission. I would rather hunt these guys everywhere they are instead of saying, Dear Pakistan, we are going to violate your borders on Tuesday at 3 oclock in the morning, we are the guys wearing black outfits dropping from a black helicopter. Or the 3rd mechanized is crossing the border near Tora Bora. Please make sure that the locals have Cakes and Pie. Who is saying that? And how did McCain turn "we will attack Al Qaeda if they're in Pakistan" into "we will attack Pakistan"?
  14. Both of their basic answers to questions were the standard BS, but I'd give it to Obama for jumping in and taking issue with McCain when he felt misrepresented on taxes, Pakistan, etc.
  15. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 03:30 AM) Well here is the response. Please find for me where he talks about not going to go after Bin Laden. Well, in addition to completely misrepresenting what Obama had just said here: "In fact, he said he wants to announce that he's going to attack Pakistan. Remarkable." He criticizes Obama's idea of launching those attacks against Al Qaeda here: "When you announce that you're going to launch an attack into another country, it's pretty obvious that you have the effect that it had in Pakistan: It turns public opinion against us." Or do you believe McCain just meant that going into Pakistan without Pakistan's permission to get Al Qaeda is his policy, but he isn't allowed to say so because that would be "telegraphing our punches".
  16. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 03:18 AM) How does your first statement, turn into we know where bin laden is and will call Pakistan. Obama said that if we know where bin Laden/Al Qaeda is in Pakistan, he will go after them even if Pakistan is unwilling/unable to help. McCain then b****ed him out for saying that.
  17. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:09 AM) KISS.OF.DEATH. LMAO. 1) A no-name 2) light heavyweight 3) who took the fight at the last minute 4) knocks you out 5) in 14 seconds 6) with a jab
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 4, 2008 -> 10:29 PM) I'm sure I'll be bashed if we have any MMA elitists here, but no one will ever beat Kimbo Slice now that he has the slightest bit of training. There is no beating 250 pounds of pure awesome. Period. I don't think anyone outside of those people who have only seen CBS' MMA shows would agree with you. Kimbo is only the 3rd best heavyweight ON THE CARD.
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 02:10 AM) ohhh good catch. When she really tries to connect, the accent gets thick. When she talks policy, it goes away. Aww shucks, say it ain't so, Joe. There you go again, doggone it.
  20. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 02:51 AM) Because were all such fans of Plessy v. Ferguson. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:16 AM) Dred Scott comes to mind. She also spoke out about the decision earlier this year on the Exxon Valdez. Yeah, she should have mentioned the Exxon one, but the Plessy and Dred Scott decisions have both been knocked out, so it would be silly to mention them.
