QUOTE (zimne piwo @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 04:26 AM) Hey... wanna vomit to the latest Cubbie propaganda littering the shelves at Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc.? Here ya go... you've been WARNED!!! http://www.wearecubsfans.com/ A lady I work with, her brother wrote this book. She claims she only brought it to work with her one day to check it out...but she made sure to tell everyone where to get it.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 04:05 PM) oh sweet, so I'm one of the lucky ones that has their Madden game freeze on them. For some reason it won't load any of my franchise files. Super. There should be a patch that take cares of that, I just downloaded the patch myself. Not starting a franchise until I can get the rosters finalized though.

I'm a fan of Standing Room Only. That or Hackney's.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) I was starting to think I was the only person with at least one black parent on this site, geez. Frankly, i'm pretty surprised there aren't more.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 01:02 PM) Just saying that Edge the past few weeks has been as intriguing as ever. He has been really good with his promos and actions and if he puts Taker over tomorrow, I will be pissed. He is carrying that show now and doesn't even have the belt. It would kill him if he loses to Take, who hasn't been on for a few months. The HIAC match should be brutal and we just got Dish so I may get the HD feed for the first time for a PPV. I too would keep this feud going, not only would it confirm that Edge is the top heel on SD, but the top heel in the ENTIRE WWE. However I wouldn't have their feud ending match until Survivor Series in say a casket match. These 2 are too good to have their blowoff match not be on one of the big 4 PPV's.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 11:51 AM) I just wonder who's going to be the new whipping boy for Bulls fans now that Gordon isn't coming back. I say it will be Tyrus is no time. Hinrich. He can leave with Gordon for all I care

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 08:44 AM) I agree they never got a fair shake, after a lot of work to put them out there. I think a problem WWE has with a lot of wrestlers and tag teams is that they create these stories for them and paint themselves into a corner in regards to expanding the storyline or characters. Once the story has run its course, there really isnt that much to do with the character/team so they let them fade into nothing. I cant see those two guys wanting to be the Scots pretending to be William Wallace-era warriors forever, it just wears thin. Who were they going to have a promo with? Cade and Murdoch? Maybe. London and Kendrick were just blah, even though they were fun to watch. They could have possibly done something with an english team(Burchill and Regal?), but WWE fans probably wouldnt even pick up on what the storyline was. Eh, the problem is the writing team gets so amped on these new tag teams and then they get bored of em within weeks time. Same thing happened on Cryme Tyme's first go-around. And until they make a legit tag division, it'll continue to happen.

Men's basketball with another win. Marc Gasol is a big big man. -
Ben Gordon says he's played his last game for the Bulls. I say good riddance, curse some other team with jacking up 20 random shots a game.
-
I'll give Kongo this, ever since he went to Rampage's camp he's gotten alot better...he's come a long way IMO from that guy who looked god awful against Silva.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 05:03 PM) Some sad Bobby Heenan news, courtesy Lords of Pain: -- WWE Hall of Famer Bobby "The Brain" Heenan is not doing too well health wise these days as his health is said to be deteriorating, according to a report on www.WrestlingEpicenter.com, a site that has interviewed a number of wrestling stars over the past few years. The WWE Hall of Famer's health is so bad that one source told the website that he does not believe Heenan will make it another month. The source said Heenan is now having trouble remembering the people around him. Heenan has been in a Tampa, Florida area hospital since December. He was first put in due to reconstructive surgery on his jaw, after the first surgery was unsuccessful. Heenan was placed in a medically induced coma and was slowly brought out. In late January, Bobby Heenan was brought out, but was unable to speak. He was also in line for some more surgeries to reconstruct his facial features. That's really sad news, I think at this point all we can hope for is for things to end peacefully for him. On a much lighter note, who the hell unpinned this thread.

Cena/Batista lose the tag straps and Kane reveals that a Rey Mysterio mask is in the bag.....very uneventful Raw, it's a shame how much this show has slipped since the draft.
-
I'm down.

Stat of the day: The White Sox are 56-14 when scoring four or more runs. Which means lets score 4 or more runs tonight.

The Cool Kids doing a show at Sub-T on the 29th. Great chance to check out some local rap for $10.

QUOTE (Shadows @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 08:14 PM) Which is good because Raw will still prolly be watched due to it being the usual for most people on cable at 8. Smackdown was PATHETIC before the draft, they have really shaked things up nicely to fix it. Shadows I meant to ask, how much did you pay for shirts at the SD taping? I'm going to Raw on the 18th and I wanna know if it'll be cheaper to buy before I go.

QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 11:10 PM) 3/3 Congratulations. Eh, GSP didn't get the TKO so i'll take 2.5/3 But man did GSP look fantastic. Right now he's 2nd in my book of best p4p guys, they need to make Penn/GSP happen for the new years card. Lesnar looked a lot better this time around. Kongo also looked a lot better this time around, this is another matchup i'd make. Emerson with the crazy KO over Manny, Florian showing that Huerta wasn't quite ready for that level of competition and Maia putting on a technical clinic. Overall, it was a fun card. Enjoyed it very thoroughly.

So I think GSP retains tonight by TKO, Lesnar gets his first UFC win and Huerta gets his first UFC loss.
