  1. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 04:01 PM) Donaghy was fixing games so how is that a myth? He admitted it. I meant the belief that some people have that all NBA games are fixed.
  2. Smackdown officially takes over as THE show for the WWE. Last night they had a very good match between Shelton Benjamin and Jeff Hardy. They also did another great job with continuing to build up Edge for the HIAC match at Summerslam.

  4. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 07:39 PM) Throw the games being fixed into the equation for the NBA then. Is that based on the Donaghy deal or the on-going myth that NBA games are fixed?
  5. Stat of the day: Quentin is hitting .429, with 4 HR and 9 RBI in his last 9 games.

    QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 11:31 PM) Oh my Lord, Pineapple Express was absolutely hilarious. Honestly, I laughed so hard in that movie it hurt... multiple times. Agreed, some very over the top moments (in a good way).
  7. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 06:12 PM) That crummy product is the number one sport in the country. If you want to talk about a crummy product look at the NBA. Players are going overseas to play now. Crummy product because 2 players have left to play overseas? Gonna need more evidence than that. I do agree that the NFL is the #1 sport in the United States.
  8. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 11:13 PM) I need a new NFL team. I'm serious to. My only real connection the Bears is location. I wasn't raised a hardcore Bears fan, but rather a Sox and Hawks fan. As I get older, I realize how big a clusterf*** the organization really is, and it really is very unlikeable. I'm not a huge football fan, but would like a team I can cheer for. Someone not to trendy(Pats,Colts) but not a dog either. I was thinking maybe the Cards, as I already root for Fitz and Bolin in a fantasy keeper league, but open to suggestions. Dallas Cowboys.

    QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:33 PM) The lyrics have something to say, thats why they're better than the b****es n ho's kinda guys. I mean listening to "Where'd You Go" compared to some Lil' John WHAT? song is like looking at a finger painting compared to a Picasso....(Lyrically) But I get it. These guys arent in it to be groundbreaking and thought provoking lyricists, they're trying to make a song with a nice beat and some really easy lyrics to song along with so they get played at clubs. People just wanna f***ing dance and scream "To the windooooowwwww to the walll!" They do this for as long as they can and make as much money as they can, and then fade into obscurity, where they belong.... Really, "Where'd You Go"? switch out the drum machine with guitars and drums and you've got a typical emo song by a pop punk band.

    QUOTE (farmteam @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 05:46 PM) Yes, it is. Granted I don't listen to much rap on my own, so this is going by stuff on the radio, but everything is either about A)Hos, B)Shooting people, or C)Shooting people who banged your hos. So since you don't listen to much rap, you're gonna generalize....good call.
  11. Didn't she do Playboy already?
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 12:32 PM) south loop is tight now though. I'm gonna miss living there this upcoming school year.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 08:26 AM) Time to pre-order Madden. I did that about 3 weeks ago, that doesn't make me a nerd does it?!?!?

    QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 09:31 PM) Pretty awesome. We went to the friday show not the sat. show which was probably longer and more crowded. This was another lolla after party and sparsely crowded, my brother said it was a place pretty far (Ukranian Village). This first act went on, Calico or something, and he was awful. He was trying hard enough, he was just terrible. Once Mike Terror went on it got better. He's pretty good, I was gonna go look for his myspace, apparantly he has a remix of MIA's "come around". Holt was awesome. He's so energetic and Mano's beats are perfectly complementary to Holt's voice and stage presence. I really want to catch him again. It made me put on Holt's mixtape and discover the last half of the disc which is SO much better IMO than the first. I've been sleeping way too hard on Holt, had no clue about a mixtape...any chance of a link?
  18. Cena/Batista win the tag titles tonight on Raw. It's a shame that they're rushing to make this match mean something. JBL won a pretty good match to face CM Punk at SS. Let's hope this is any good.

  24. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 11:11 AM) WEC was good last night, Vs Network usually replays it a few times so it is worth searching for It's cool the UFC is coming to the Chicago Area. I read that tickets to the general public go on sale 8/18 and to "fight club" members on 8/15. I can sometimes get tickets to Allstate events early, if I can't get these I'll eat the $80 for access to the presale WEC was a fun card last night, worth a check out. So if you're able to get the tickets early either way, would you mind sharing with your fellow ST MMA lovers?
