My main problem with the poll would be that IMO alot of the older artists, Kurtis Blow, Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe Dee, really werent given as much relevance in it because they are not in most peoples recent memory. Eve?? Ja Rule?? Queen Latifah??? C'mon now, people.

Heres a thought....how about a level in between 'All Pro-So easy its not real fun' and 'All Madden-you don't have a prayer, pal'. Why, after al lthese years have they not been able to create a happy medium between the 2 levels of AI? It drives me crazy.

Exactly Pastime. Don't swear off Kong or Koch because of one lousy year. Hell, more and more Sox fans on here are starting to sound like Cubbie "instant gratification" fans everyday. Give these 2 some time next year to see how it goes, and then make a decision. Koch is off the books after 2004, why trade him for a washed up Roger Cedeno, or David Weathers? Take a shot that his act will be back together in 2004, and if it isnt, you have that 6.375 mill that you dont have to pay in 2005 anyways! Don't just trade guys just to be trading......have a purpose.

You'll never see the courage I know Its colors' richness won't appear within your view I'll never glow - the way that you glow Your presence dominates the judgements made on you But as the scenery grows, I see in different lights The shades and shadows undulate in my perception My feelings swell and stretch; I see from greater heights I understand what I am still too proud to mention - to you You'll say you understand, but You don't understand You'll say you'd never give up seeing eye to eye But never is a promise, and you can't afford to lie Fiona Apple - Never Is a Promise

I dont think we need 2 Monday Knight games either, BE GOOD....lol

Theres the most disappointing team in the league IMO. Bledsoe and crew lit it up the first 2 weeks of the season, then it seemed someone kidnapped Bledsoes ability to be an NFL QB, for about 8-10 games.

LOL......man...if there was a "Most Abusive to the English language" category, BE GOOD would win it hands down. Incorrect usage and spelling of the English language drives me crazy. It pains me sometimes to read BE GOODs posts, for fear of posting a reply to the effect of "Websters-it is your friend"

well, if I can get Scott Williamson for Jon Rauh, I may have to say yes. I want to keep Wright, and let him grow accustomed to being in the Bullpen. I don't want him to start in our rotation, maybe ever again, but as a setup guy or closer, yes.

Hard to rebuild when we never were built to start with, although I understand your point.

And yet...so very pointless also.

Robbie to be a Cardinal by weeks end...
Capn12 replied to Wise Master Buehrle's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'm speaking in terms of the better fit for THIS team, and its no question, Willie Harris. Is he ready to play everyday? Well, we'll find out in 2004. -
Robbie to be a Cardinal by weeks end...
Capn12 replied to Wise Master Buehrle's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Willie beats Robbie where it matters most to JR and crew: Roberto Alomar 2B NYM Signed Nov 1998 - 5 years/$38M 1999: $6.5M (+$1.0M signing bonus) 2000: $7.0M 2001: $7.5M 2002: $8.0M 2003: $8.0M option exercised 2004: Free Agent Willie Harris 2B CWS 2003: $300K Need anything else be said? Besides, it isn't financially responsible to pay an aging Robbie not only 3+ mill, but have to for 2 years. -
Topics Merged......for her pleasure.

Robbie to be a Cardinal by weeks end...
Capn12 replied to Wise Master Buehrle's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Honestly guys, you raelly can't compare Harris' output in MLB to Robbies output, and say who is better. How much playing time has Willie had as a starting second baseman? About 1.5-2 months MAYBE? Of course the comparison has no grounds for basis IMO. But hopefully Willie will grow into a 2Ber who will stay around for a while. He has the speed, ability to bunt, and has shown at times to be able to put the ball in play. Robbie is, no doubt, one of the best second basemen in the history of the game. But Robbie is also not 25 years old anymore, and his skills are fading as an everyday player. He can still play the filed better than 70% of the stiffs in MLB, but I can't justify paying 3 or more million per year for 2 years to a guy who has diminished skills at the plate. -
Well, for about 3 years straight, I waited on ASB to come out. Every year i bought it, and every year i was disappointed. Regardless of what anyone says, the batting interface flat out sucks. The detail of the game was quite sufficient, but what fun is it when you either get 2 hits an entire game with the regular interface, or 40 with the easy interface?

Good Lord, thats a blast from the past!!! I always thought she was hot way back then...she turned out quite alright!
