  1. People really out here, thinking that if no moves were made, Romy/Lenyn were going to play MORE than Leury? LOL..... If they don't bring Andrus in, we're seeing Leury Garcia at 2B 75% of the time. I'll pass on that.
  2. If I’m not watching the White Sox, there is about a 90% chance I’m not watching baseball. If something momentous is happening, maybe, otherwise ChiSox only. That's what makes spending so much time on this, so painful, because the ownership and organization overall is such a clown show. Yet, here I am...
  3. Print the playoff tickets now!! .....but, decent enough move, considering Boston had to move him in the next 2-3 days no matter what.
  4. Man, what a crappy blow to be dealt. Hopefully Liam can get through the treatment, build his strength back up, and get back to the game we love next year-ish.
  5. This board, quite honestly, is a huge part of what keeps me coming back as a fan. Being here since the beginning, and 20 years almost, that’s been a HUGE part of my Sox fandom. I loathe almost everything about the organization, because of the ownership and front office. But, I hope against hope, that our team defies what we all know is going to happen, and surprise everyone once again.
  6. Dansby Swanson is NOT a 25+ mil a year guy. But hey, I like when the Cubs spend badly.
  7. Like..80% of our line up every year not 2021? It sure seems that way, at least.
  8. This is akin to taking the 6 to the prom, instead of swinging for a 10 and missing. But hey, it is a real OFer in LF finally. And if it means Liam has to go, I'm.......ok with it. I kind of like the idea of Reynaldo closing.
  9. Color me shocked, we spent money!
  10. I don't see it as a bad deal for SF, at all. Go look at their future contract status...only 19 mil was committed beyond 2024 before this deal. They have a payroll now, that is only 13 mil over our current garbage pile. And, they have a franchise SS for the foreseeable future.
  11. We have such a joke of an organization. It's painful to still be a Sox fan, if only it were something that we could actually change....
  12. I find it amusing that some folks still think there is a “window” for this organization. A window to get a 1st round exit or 2, perhaps.
  13. C-A-L-L-O! Jerry Gallo is dead!
  14. I'd rather have Jerry Gallo from My Cousin Vinny.
  15. Hey, at least we got.....<reads notes>....Mike Clevinger!
  16. That Astros lineup is stupid. With that being said, no way no how, should the Sox have been in on Abreu at 3/60. Not a chance.
  17. True, we like to aim for the middle, and act on neither option. Sadly, you may be right.
  18. Because the only other FA player of signifigance after '23 is Yasmani, and rest assured, there is no one taking that contract right now. Folks are acting like they've forgotten 40+ years of behavior from current ownership. The status quo isn't going to magically change in 2023/2024.
  19. Good point. Ownership has proven time and again, they are willing to sign home grown pitchers to long term, costly contracts.
  20. Most of us aren't hating on Gio because of his performance, I think most of us are realistic enough to know he is gone after 2023 either way. So, why not make a move that makes sense for the team, more long term.
  21. Boy, the Adam Engel experiment may FINALLY come to a close. The organization has been stuck on him for too long, with him never able to prove he can stay healthy.
  22. I can't wait to see Jason Heyward in RF for us in 2023.
  23. OH Boy, I can already see a typical Sox move coming: signing Heyward as the lefty right fielder. I can even imagine how Hahn would spin it.... ”In Jason, we get one of the premier bats in the game, at a fraction of his 22 million dollar worth.”
