  1. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:30 PM) Is that why Tyler looks over at the bench every time before throwing down his signs? Pitchouts, throws over to first, those things come from the dugout. The White Sox are one team that does not call pitches from the bench.
  2. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:33 PM) I have NEVER seen a guy dominate 1 team like this. At least not a fringe player and to the extent he has dominated.
  3. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:33 PM) People can keep saying "we've just faced a lot of good starting pitching." Well guess what? They are all in our division, and we will be facing them over and over, so it won't be any different. So you don't have to waste time watching.
  4. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:22 PM) How did it affect Sale??? Or Buehrle. Or guys like Jim Palmer.
  5. QUOTE (DashFan @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:20 PM) He should be starting BUT it's little much to ask a rookie pitcher who has no experience pitching out of the bullpen. Not to mention leaving him in to "wear it" when we are supposedly trying to win. Throw in the worst pitch calling I've seen so far and you've got a recipe only this coaching staff would attempt. Just so you know, the bench does not call pitches.
  6. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:17 PM) Lamont did this to Ruffcorn and Baldwin. He made them face the Indians when 3 of their guys could out hit this whole Sox lineup. Ruffcorn faced the Indians in 1994. He made 3 appearances in 1993. He went 4 innings and gave up 7 runs. I posted his team lost all 30 games he appeared in during his major league career.
  7. QUOTE (DashFan @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:15 PM) Robin Ventura had two jobs today: 1. Give away a game to a division opponent. 2. Destroy any confidence Carlos Rodon may have came into the majors with. Done & done. So Rodon should just sit in the bullpen, and pitch once a week in blowouts?
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:12 PM) What's annoying is Rodon wasn't ready yet for the majors It is his major league debut, he is jacked up. Bryant fanned 3 times during his debut.
  9. Francona giving away outs vs, a pitcher who can't throw strikes. Where have I read about this before?
  10. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 08:48 PM) Haha Robin struck again. You stupid f***ing bastard The guy hit a 98 MPH fastball off his fists for a hit,
  11. Rodon looking for his first major league strike.
  12. Noesi is prone to the long ball
  13. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 01:52 PM) It would never happen but say Noesi and Danks suddenly start pitching lights out for the next two months, do you keep Rodon in the pen or send him down in that situation? Keep him in the bullpen.
  14. I think this was probably the game bullseyed for Rodon's debut. Noesi probably won't go long, and Cleveland is mostly left handed. As long as the game isn't out of hand, I'm guessing he is in when Noesi gets around 100 pitches which could be the 4th or 5th inning.
  15. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 12:53 PM) I love how he's pitching, but I just hope it lasts. He did not look anywhere near this good last year, or any other year for that matter. One year his ERA was 1.08. He has a terrific strikeout per inning rate.
  16. Mitchell is now 2-31 with 18 strikeouts. I'm very confident unless he's used as a pinch runner, he will never help the White Sox win games.
  17. QUOTE (staxx @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 12:39 PM) Hopefully this helps the sox establish a new relationship with scott. All that matters is Rodon is dope, and in 6 1/2 years whoever is owning the Sox will be willing to agree to a contract that will pay him more than any other team is willing to pay.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:04 AM) i think subpar is being generous with the picture of that hot dog I don't eat tubes of death, but at least most look pretty good. That was disgusting.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 11:04 AM) The most interesting thing here is the description of the review process internally. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/white-sox/...-shift-strategy Stone said last night, there are actually a couple of views NY gets that neither teams' replay guys get. That seems silly to me. Just give the replay guys the exact same thing they will see in NY.
  20. Castro has more hits than Pete Rose at the same age.
  21. QUOTE (GoGoSox2k2 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:55 AM) Ole Dick Allen would remind me of our "great" treasurer Rita.. She puts us on the map after everyone forgot about Ronald Reagan's hometown. Hell we are now known more for Rita then we are The Gipper. My favorite was that $2 million mobile home.
  22. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:31 AM) My best advice is to not live in Dixon. They used to have a great Treasurer.
  23. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 08:15 AM) Let's keep this one-game winning streak going! Lol When it's all you have, you go with it.
  24. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 08:11 AM) Just seems to me that when this team can make a mistake, it does. And seeing them on paper versus how its translating to on field play is frustrating. So far, that's how it's gone. I don't think it will continue for much longer. It was nice of the Cleveland OF to let Melky's ball drop for a hit instead of a SF.
  25. Royals sold 63,000 $1 hot dogs Friday night. Their fans are not happy: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-leag...-231154948.html
