It must be fun to be a fan of a team where money isn't always the #1 concern. Where it's more important to an owner to have even more than he will ever spend than winning. The cheapness and loyalty has made a really good looking rebuild come to a screeching halt. I really don't think there is much they can do though now to make this season successful.

When Shark was on the Sox his xFIP was much lower than his ERA, but the biggest fielding problem when he pitched was himself.

Hahn did say last spring when the Sox were doing nothing that they would be a better team on Opening Day than they were during the lockout, and a better team at the deadline than they were on Opening Day. So far he's 0 fer.

When you are in the middle of your 42nd season of ownership and have won a playoff series after only 1 of those seasons, you would think that might make you think you have done some things wrong and need to change how you do business if winning really is your thing. You hear the Sox want all the top names in the offseaon and now, but look at who they got in the offseason, a who's who of why, I thought you were trying to win championships. Now they mentioned how aggressive they are, but the names they are linked , Peralta and Quintana, are more of the same. The team obviously won't spend the money and doesn't have the prospect capital to fix this right now.

I just don't see how coming to the Sox will get Gallo out of over a year long slump. It seems coming to the Sox puts you in slump.

I get that, but IMO the problems are far deeper with this team. Lance Lynn gets lit up, bullpen doesn't matter against an historically weak offense. Sox can't score against a journeyman pitcher. I was holding out hope, but last night did it for me. The TA behavior was icing on the cake. I love him as a player, but he is trending in the wrong direction as far as being a winner and team guy.

i think someone has to talk to him and tell him while they realize there are things to keep in house, saying something like this makes their fanbase think the team thinks they couldn't be more dumb. Even Ozzie called him out on some similar BS earlier in the season.
