Sound like a rerun of a few weeks ago when they beat up on Detroit, had a nice win vs. Houston then a tough loss when too many were focused on it not being a loss but a good loss. The next day it was 21-5, and the losing continued. I'll buy in if they get 2 out of 3 here. But right now they are .500 playing one of the easiest schedules possible. Not just with non contenders, but real easy travel.

If Cease can lead the Sox to victory tonight, and Seattle can beat Cleveland, the Sox blowing that 8-2 lead in the 9th vs. Cleveland earlier this season would be the only thing keeping the ALC from a 3 way tie at the top.

Yes. If anything, playing hard "for him" only when he's gone makes him look even worse. The more I think about this situation, the stranger it gets. Forget the Sox aren't providing updates, but if his condition was so dire, he had to leave immediately, why would Cairo consult with him every day? Wouldn't a doctor be opposed to that?
