  1. It's limited to 10 teams. He just tried to trade him to the wrong one. Of course, the 10 he chooses are the 10 most likely to pick up his contract.
  2. They are getting new ownership. New ownership usually either goes really cheap or goes on a crazy spending spree. I gues this means they can get away with cheap for a couple of years, then go nuts.
  3. And the bullpen will still be average at best.
  4. thas still a decent amount of change with only 6 or so paychecks remaining for a guy who has been a replacement level player for over a year.
  5. For some reason, KW thinks players may be willing to take tens of millions less to play for a team mired in mediocrity.
  6. Q signed for $2 million. RH paid VV $3 million. The old Nightengale tweet makes me laugh. The Sox were looking for Robbie Ray and Marcus Semien, yet wound up with VV and Big Energy.
  7. If Lance Lynn doesn't hurt his knee is spring training, they don't even sign Cueto.
  8. if the Sox are serious about winning, and adding today, if they don't address their offense, they are idiots;
  9. I voted yes it's salvageable but not with KW and RH and TLR, imo.,
  10. He's clearly still fucked up and Tony is trying to dance around simple questions.
  11. Its something we will never see under this regime. Trying to get as good as possible instead of just hopefully good enough. The White Sox owner and front office lack killer instinct. It is no wonder the team always lacks it as well. 2011 the slogan was we're all in. Compare that roster to some of these. These guys are still living off 2005. It's time to move on.
  12. teams will want him if the Yankees eat a lot of money.
  13. It must be fun to be a fan of a team where money isn't always the #1 concern. Where it's more important to an owner to have even more than he will ever spend than winning. The cheapness and loyalty has made a really good looking rebuild come to a screeching halt. I really don't think there is much they can do though now to make this season successful.
  14. When Shark was on the Sox his xFIP was much lower than his ERA, but the biggest fielding problem when he pitched was himself.
  15. Hahn did say last spring when the Sox were doing nothing that they would be a better team on Opening Day than they were during the lockout, and a better team at the deadline than they were on Opening Day. So far he's 0 fer.
  16. When you are in the middle of your 42nd season of ownership and have won a playoff series after only 1 of those seasons, you would think that might make you think you have done some things wrong and need to change how you do business if winning really is your thing. I find it hard to believe winning is JRs thing. It's all about the money for him.
  17. The whole thing was it was a ball, but almost borderline, and TA isn't exactly known for his keen eye re. the strikezone.strike zone. To get yourself in a position to clearly hit the u.pire with your helmet is stupid and selfish. And why nobody came out to get in between is beyond me.
  18. I'm guessing he's back to the lightheadedness.
  19. Maybe TA can serve his suspension in concert with paternity leave when his girlfriend gives birth.
  20. You hear the Sox want all the top names in the offseaon and now, but look at who they got in the offseason, a who's who of why, I thought you were trying to win championships. Now they mentioned how aggressive they are, but the names they are linked , Peralta and Quintana, are more of the same. The team obviously won't spend the money and doesn't have the prospect capital to fix this right now.
  21. I just don't see how coming to the Sox will get Gallo out of over a year long slump. It seems coming to the Sox puts you in slump.
  22. Obviously, but if he doesn't, he will be mired in mediocrity, just like always with these dopes
