  1. It was hard to win when they played, and each of them gets hurt a lot. If you aren't prepared to play without them, you aren't going to be prepared.
  2. At least we don't have to watch Kelly anymore. Martin in. Why didn't he start?
  3. The last thing JR wants to do is sell to someone that will immediately make his operation look deficient.
  4. A base hit here would pretty much end the game.
  5. Joe Kelly almost certainly won't blow a lead tonight.
  6. Iowa Hawkeye. For the Hawks, he was fast Was also a pretty nice returner.
  7. Is there any way you can platoon him a different way? He's great at home, and a slow Leury Garcia who plays RF like Paul Konerko would on the road. Only have him on the roster for home games.
  8. Whatever it is, the team and/or Tony don't want anyone to know. Joe Kelly left with lightheadedness, Yaz left with knee discomfort, Eloy left with hamstring discomfort. Ta left with goin discomfort. Tony leaves with a medical issue. They don't even tell the players. It' has to be something fairly serious.
  9. That is weird, and like was stated above if it was a stroke or heart attack they aren't putting him on a plane I'm guessing he probably was examined and the results came back before the game. Another twist was Dave Stewart was visiting him for some reason
  10. I hope it isn't cancer. That is one thing where Tony would probably want to see "his" doctors. I would imagine the Sox get top medical experts.
  11. The way it was phrased, I don't think it was Covid, and I don't know why they would have him at the park and then leave if it was something planned. My guess is he either had some chest pains and they were checking on a possible heart attack or perhaps he had symptoms of a stroke. The press release makes it sound like they didn't expect him back any time soon. Hopefully never, but if something is wrong, I do hope he recovers.
  12. Actually I suggested what you are suggesting several months ago. Tony walks around with one shoulder really slouching. I said use any physical excuse and give Cairo a look. Either the team takes off so you bring him back ot its more of the same and you won't make the mistake of Cairo in 2023.
  13. Or a wine tasting event.
  14. The weird part about this is he participated in the pre game including meeting with some press without a hint something could be wrong. I don't like him, but hopefully OK.
  15. It's next to impossible to hit HRs the other way to RF at GRF.
  16. Tony was able to get Leuty in the line up before he left. Which is nice.
  17. Good thing the ball doesn't carry to right center.
  18. 47 year old Leury Garcia pinch hitting and reaching 1st base on a wildpitch strike 3 with the winning run scoring from third to take him over the top.
  19. I wonder if Hahn still thinks he has a championship roster. You would think a championship roster could at least be .500 with an ALC schedule.
  20. As Tony says, looking at results is too easy. Leury hit a foul ball. That was great.
  21. Is Jake Burger hurt, or does he hit homers too frequently for the White Sox taste?
  22. Bob Uecker made a pile of money making fun of how bad a hitter he was. 580 or so lifetime OPS. Tony uses a guy with a .505 OPS in a key situation. The guy has some issues.
  23. Tony got played in the 9th. His best option was Eloy and he took the bat out of his hands.
