  1. Every year the NFL teams interview the same 5 or 6 guys for their coaching job. All are can't miss, going to be star head coaches....and the majority wind up looking for another job within 3 to 4 years. But occassionally, a team hires one who is as advertised. Hopefully the Bears have done that.
  2. If everyone was like you, it would go back to 64.
  3. Maybe he'll bring back Kyle Long. I did eead he is really good identifying o line and d line. Pace wasn't bad at d line, but his o line calls were not so good. It would be awesome if he turns out as great as many in the know think he can be.
  4. If he can't be trusted to get it right without George and Ted chiming in, they hired the wrong guy.
  5. Not to say Poles is a bad choice, I have no idea, and a lot of people who should know, seem to be impressed, but If Ryan Pace selected Mahomes instead of Mitch, how many of these KC execs and assistants would get interviews for big jobs?
  6. Poles is supposedly really close with Bowles.
  7. Jack's example took 8 seconds. So even if they got to the 40, they have 4 seconds to get in FG range. 4 seconds for a 20 yard play and they would have to make a real long FG. If it takes 5, the game is over.
  8. Either way, If your defense can't keep them out of FG range with 13 seconds left, a loss is what is deserved.
  9. It doesn't matter. There was 13 seconds left. If they have the ball on the 35 with 8 or 9 seconds left, best case scenerio, they have to get into FG range the next play or they have to throw a Hail Mary. They would have had to gain 25 yards for a 57 yd attenpt. The way that defense was getting carved up, I'd take my chances on the return team than Mahomes. Hell, kick it to the 5 yard line, make them return it.
  10. Even if they got an extra 10 yards, it would have been well worth the 4 or 5 or 6 seconds on the clock. They would have had 1 play and a Hail Mary in all lilelyhood.
  11. Still, the offense is something you don't see. The Bears, to maximize Fields, have to use his running ability. He can't be as physical as Allen, but he is faster and can make more miss. It was lunacy the way Nagy was using him.
  12. Watching the Bills offense, I was dreaming of Fields being used the same way.
  13. I still don't understand why Buffalo didnt squib it after scoring with 13 seconds. It gave Mahomes an extra play. And I don't know how the Bears hire the DC whose defense blew the game with 13 seconds left.
  14. Yeah, might as well get rid of all the worthwhile pieces while you still have an interm GM. Would hate to let the guy you are waiting forever to hire make the decisions. What a fall from grace the organ I zation has had.
  15. Yes, but no playoff team signed someone else's major free agent. It was a game to try to get the union to cave.
  16. The other thing that scares me is if you are the best candidate but not in love with Justin Fields, you have no shot.
  17. Kind of strange they are hiring a guy who most likely has never been a GM, and giving him all the power, but basically saying he doesn't have the skills to hire his own coach.
  18. Yes, get a little victory on a couple of the important issues, and keep everything else as status quo as possible. They aren't going to get it all at once. If they insist, they will get nothing.
  19. Yes. At least you know it will be a zoo once they agree to things. So we have that going for us, which is nice.
  20. Should have traded him for Joc.
  21. When the Bears played at Wrigley they had 7 yard end zones.
  22. The funny thing is when they did finish in second every year, the fans stayed away from the park, and from watching on television .
  23. While the extra tax on the $2.7 million could be a hit, I don't know the tax law herw,it isn't the hit Robert was looking at. I don't really follow these guys much, but since the pools have come into place, don't most these guys come over the year the got their checks?
  24. The guy on Twitter who is usually right doesn't think it's anything too bad. Seems to think meniscus is the worst case.
