I just don’t understand how Mendicjk wasn't good enough to be on the 28 man roster at the end of the season, but is good enough when it drops to 26. No big deal really, but odd.

Good news, my brother's 83 inch OLED has been delivered and set up on time for game 1. -

Abreu was at the park yesterday per LaRussa. -

So would I. This kind of reminds me of 1993 when Black Jack McDowell got the game 1 and game 5 starts in the ALCS. He did win the Cy, and he was a tough guy like Lynn, but Alvarez and Bere had been outpitching him for over a month. When he was coming out of the bullpen before game 5 , I was as fired up as anyone. A few innings later, I wondered why the guys pitching better weren't on the mound. I hope Lynn can change that tomorrow. -

Gio could still pitch a game 5 on almost regular rest. This gives him an extra day for his first start. -

The needless speculation was as expected. There is no way that wasn’t going to happen. -

Houston kills Lunn, but this gives both he and Gio an extra day. -

I usually like his White Sox posts, but saying he doesn't want to start rumors, and then reveling in the fact that he did exclamated by posting a line up without Abreu, was pretty ridiculous. -

Surprised they didn't announce he is on a ventilator. -

He said he was going to work out Tuesday. I wasn't there so I have no idea if he was at the park or not. But bad colds and flus don't always go away exactly when you think. -

All this stuff? It is all speculation from rabbit based on video. And then notCishek jumped on the bandwagon. If he had a flu or a bad cold that he was fighting for a couple of days, even if he was feeling better, I wouldn't want him on the team plane heading to a postseason game. JR can gas up his private jet and fly him down there. -

So a whole day? Have you ever had the flu? If he had Covid the Sox wouldn't be allowed to tell you he was sick. -

Why is it assumed he has Covid? Hahn said it was a non Covid illness. The fact that Hahn said anything says to me the Sox expect him to play. -

This tweet is clearly the result of rabbits post. He knows nothing. Just remember he was like most of us and didn't know the option rule when the Sox sent Collins down, which means his source didn't either. Dead giveaway to his phonyness. -

Goodwin will be in the dugout if he is on the roster or not. Same with Keuchel. -
Maybe, but they are playoff bound. It's a 6th rounder but why trade a 6th rounder unless the playoffs and advancing in the playoffs is realistic?

Can go west a block or 2 and find something. I have parked on the street with a pass for at least 500 games including all home playoff games this century.
-
Go a couple hours early, go to Shinnicks or another bar and ask them for a parking pass, and park on the street. Save some cash and watch the end of the Bears game atthe bar. Drink cheaper beer. I probably just saved you $75.

$45 parking for non season ticket holders. JR loves home playoff games.

White Sox-Astros Game 1 3:07 Start Time
Dick Allen replied to KnightsOnMintSt's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yeah, although I really doubt they would give them the real early game on Monday after a night game. But 3 or 4 pm is a definite possibility. Who knows, it would be an elimination game no matter what, so it may be prime time. -

Made them play with it closed. The Astros wanted it open. -

When the Sox played Houston in the WS, up until then it was the least watched WS ever. Granted WS were trending that way and only 2 have been watched by more people since, Yankees/Phillies and Cubs/Guardians, but Houston is sort of like the Sox. No matter how good they are or how many interesting players they have, for some reason, most of the country doesn’t care. -

More people nationwide would tune into a Red Sox game than a White Sox game. Even when they have been good, the White Sox, for some reason, have never been much of a draw. TV or in person on the road. I still think they might have a shot at prime time if Boston wins. The LaRussa angle probably has some national appeal.
