The Grandal will come out tomorrow, you can bet your bottom dollar
Not only that, the job is like the weatherman being blamed because it’s too hot or too cold. Moncada dives awkwardly hurts his hand, fire the trainer.

The Sox don’t have prospects sexy enough for the Cubs to make them prohibitive favorites.

Trout was 6-8 weeks. Hopefully Grandal is not as long, but if it is, he should be back for the homestretch.

The good news is if he has to miss a month or two, he , Robert, Eloy, all should be pretty strong at the end of the season and the playoffs when other guys are probably dying. Could be huge.

It looked terrible because he was in a lot of pain, but the physical act that caused it to happen was minimal. Hopefully that keeps the severity down. It wasn't like he was busting his ass going somewhere, he just took a pitch That calf muscle couldn't have been as engaged as it would be for other things.

I am not a medical professional, but I am thinking even if he had sat out a week, that calf was a ticking time bomb and the same thing was going to happen. There really was no good answer IMO.

7/5 White Sox @ Twins 6:00 CT
They probably wouldn't have scored anyway. That lefty is tough on lefties and Billy Hamilton was the hope. Of course he may have bunted.

Because with the infield in, if it wasn't, he would have waited for the ball to go through.

I've never been a big fan of the contact play with nobody out.

Some day, some year, if you keep this up, you are bound to be correct.

I think some are gassed more than that.

7/5 White Sox @ Twins 6:00 CT
I don't get leaving a guy in after he had thrown so many pitches in 95 degree heat with a lefty ready, not that Fry was guaranteed to get him out.

So is Deroits, and until the 9th inning yesterday, the Sox couldn't touch them.

At least it doesn't appear to be an Achilles.

The All Star break is a good time fot an IL stint.

White Sox @ Tigers - 7/4/21- Game Thread
Lefties have to be lucky against that guy, but he will walk you if you let him. Goodwin didn’t let him.

So should Leury.

Goodwin should have tried to walk.

White Sox @ Tigers - 7/4/21- Game Thread
It will be a problem for every team. Hopefully they can avoid serious injury.

White Sox @ Tigers - 7/4/21- Game Thread
No sticky stuff and probably the time some pitchers will tire due to last year's shortened season is not a good combo.

Trevor Story
No because TA would still be with the team next year. Story would be huge. He is off to a slow start for him, so history suggests he could have a huge second half.

White Sox @ Tigers - 7/4/21- Game Thread
He hit the ball 111.5 mph.

Does TLR need to light up the umpires more?
Tony should get a little hotter. It isn't going to hurt, and may get the Sox a call or 2 down the road. Obviously we don't know what he is saying from the dugout, but he rarely makes an appearance on the field, even though there has been several times it had been, as has getting ejected, been warranted. Katz got thrown out saying it was not up. This isn't Little League. Tony used to throw bases. Granted, at his advanced age, he may throw out his back if he tried, but his team has been screwed by bad balls and strikes calls more than most. Get tossed, see if it helps.

Matt Foster should be a Charlotte Knight.

Why do they check the pitchers after the inning? Shouldn't they do it before the inning?
