  1. The GM can complain about it, but the same guys he is complaining about are the ones he is giving 7 figure signing bonuses. The guys who learn how to pitch but don't throw as hard are lucky to get $10k.
  2. Hendriksalso was wearing a sleeve on his elbow.
  3. Bowden just throws out names. He has no specific knowledge. I would be careful about Frazier. Lifetime .280 hitter hitting .328, switching leagues. He probably wouldn't hit .250. Escobar is the better choice IMO. Already had success on the AL, a slower start means he is probably due to get hot. He also loved playing for the Sox. I remember when he got traded. He cried.
  4. The lead is only 4.5. If it isn't at least 6 by the end of this weekend, the Sox need to sell. Fool's gold. One question I would have for Jack, at least some of the injured guys, if not all, will probably be back for the last month. If you sell, aren't you really screwing yourself?
  5. I heard the Twins haven't won a series vs. the Yankees since 2000.
  6. Carlos May did that. The Pirate missed first. He didn’t even get a single. At least Carlos missed home and got a triple.
  7. Tony will be trying to avoid #2,390.
  8. I would think so. If they had fewer injuries, the race would be over. There is going to be a lot of weight on the pitcher's shoulders. If the Sox can avoid some bad injuries there, they should be OK.
  9. There is no way he is not going on the IL. Hopefully it isn't more than a month, but that looked like an at least a month pull.
  10. Shocking news. Kyle Long is hurt. Some sort of leg injury. They hope he can return by the start of the regular season.
  11. Right now, they are pretty much the 2017-2019 White Sox with a much better rotation and Liam Hendriks.
  12. They have a lead, and some hope the players return. At the deadline, there may be a little more pressure on them if the race is tight, and the injured guys aren't progressing.
  13. The most amazing thing about this season is how little we have heard from KW. You wouldn't even know if he is still with the team.
  14. Has anyone been paying attention? If Madrigal is out long enough to require an addition, Yolmer part 3 will happen. He is hitting .167 in AAA with a ton of strikeouts. He won't cost anything.
  15. Almost every player of the projected starting line up at the beginning of spring training has been hurt. Moncada and Vaughn may be the exceptions.
  16. Not to mention a season ticketholder moved to another section isn't going to be happy when their seats are now available for sale. Plus it is only 3 weekday games.
  17. I don't know what will happen when they get to 100% capacity, but right now, at 60%, it's fine. You cannot go between levels. You now can walk around the park. You now can enter at any gate. You cannot bring bags like backpacks. Everything is cashless, and there are no vendors. If you are there just to watch the game, it's actually fabulous. No constant up and down the aisle blocking your view. Some separation between parties, and a good team to watch.
  18. I haven't looked at White Sox spin rates, but the guys I would really be concerned with are Rodon and Giolito.
  19. Which could mean he just got old, or he tried to play it straight. There going to start checking guys more than once a game. This appears so widespread, it will be a major game changer. Some guys will probably be just fine. But I bet more than a few fall apart.
  20. With Cole starting to get lit up, I wonder if the Astros pitchers were cheating more than their hitters. Verlander went from struggling to better than ever. I remember watching an MLBN segment where they were just gushing how the Astros were able to teach their pitchers how to increase spin rates. Looks like that entire team was a scam. Too bad really. They had the talent to win straight up.
  21. I just like the fact, that the hardest thing about hitting a baseball is making contact, is something he has mastered. They can and will make him stronger. I like his chances having a really nice career.
  22. I think he would be fun to watch. But a rookie tied for 84th place in HR, shouldn't be invited. Get hot again Yerminator, and maybe you will go.
  23. That's legit. Brother.
  24. Why would you not play to win by more than one run?
  25. Robin Ventura was 0-40 and got over. I am sure if this kid is as good as most think, he will get over it too.
