Keuchel has turned into our weakest starter IMO.  Time to start looking like his old self.

Big Keuch is not my favorite  starter, but against the O's he should be fine.  TLaR should let him pitch 9 if he wants to.

Yeah guy was already regressing before he signed with the Sox. Last year, he had the soft 60-game season only facing shitty AL and NL Centrals (outside of Minny's offense, it wasn't very threatening). Him taking a step back this year is not shocking at all.

He had good command last year. He rarely has had that this year. In the starts where he did have good command (vs. Tampa and Toronto especially), he's looked pretty good. If he can throw that cutter effectively inside to righties and the change up down and away to lefties, he's got a chance.

Why did they mention 2006?!?

 

Sheets needs to be in RF and Burger at DH and that middle of the order is ?.   

Sheets, Vaughn and Burger needs to be the middle not Goodwin, Engel, Garcia

2006 is a playoff team under the current rules.

Can't wait until Keuchel lets us know, all of the things that the defense should have done differently, after the game.

Actually come to think of it.  Burger should play 3B all series and just let Moncada heal and come back after the break healthy

I agree. Rest Abreu too while we're at it. That will be nine straight days off to heal and get right before the Houston series. Meanwhile we'll see if we can possibly beat another major league team with what is at best a MiLB lineup: Collins, Vaughn, Mendick, Garcia, Burger, Goodwin, Engel and Sheets. Yeesh!

Keuchel hates many things, his beard is his one true love.

Can see the second half rotation / catchers set up as:

• Lucas / Collins
• Lynn / Zavala
• Rodon / Collins
• Cease / Collins (or Zavala if Kopech / Collins comes into play)
• Keuchel / Zavala

Collins will be the primary once Grandal is gone, so it's good the young pitchers like to throw to Collins.
