  1. Up until this point, there are on vendors at the park. Upper Level has a better view of the game, and probably much shorter lines at the concession stands. I went with a friend a month or so ago to an afternoon game and we had bleachers and brews tickets. They were $25 and you get 2 Buds with it. There was a group of 7 next to us. 4 adults, 3 kids. they had a dedicated stand for Brews and Bleachers ticketholders. There was no line. We would get back instantly. The other group would be gone innings at a time. They asked us how we got beers so fast, we told them. They paid $28 a piece for their seats. They could have saved $21 and had 14 beer credits doing it the other way.
  2. He has been throwing 94-96 recently. Missed some time with eye surgery. Obviously needs more than a fastball.
  3. Jake Arrietta was awful until he wasn’t now is again. Dylan Bundy was awful until he wasn’t, and has also returned to awful. But taking a shot on guys like Lopez is what teams dumping salaries do.
  4. I don’t know what his velocity has been, but a team salary dumping may want to take a look. He is talented when healthy.
  5. He has been awful this year. Worse than ever.
  6. I am not sure if it is a state thing but here is the blurb. Records state he was denied bail, but a spokesman for the Redmond (Washington) Police Department told ESPN that is standard procedure for suspects of domestic violence until they can appear before a judge. Sherman's hearing before a judge will not take place until Thursday afternoon. it will be interesting to see where this heads. Probably will get dismissed. He is pretty high up in the Union.
  7. The domesic charge. I read it in one of the articles. I originally thought the same thing you did.
  8. It's standard for the charge, until he sees a judge.
  9. Wassn't the risk for hospitializaion, ICU admission and death lowest among those with BMIs under 25 before we ever heard of Covid 19? The fact is, you can still die from it or cause someone else to die from it.
  10. I'm not. But if your data is accurate, 80% of the hospitalized are overweight. But 70% of the people at the grocery store you walk into are overweight. So as much as you want to make being overweight the #1 factor, it really doesn't tell you that much. The talking point is it doesn't affect kids. There are 7 kids in Mississippi in intensive care.
  11. BTW, almost 70% of all American adults are overweight.
  12. I knew 3 people who died of Covid. Not one was overweight. Although I do have some sort of issue with the vaccines. My wife still is struggling, 3 months after getting her first shot. No one knows what to do. They keep passing her along, and have her take more tests. So they either have no clue how to fight a probable bad vax reaction or are too afraid to report it.
  13. But that is what they are supposed to do, and are doing it with a very depleted roster. He is full of shit.
  14. The Sox better not win the WS. Schoenfield would have to change his B+ to a B or B-.
  15. how does a team with the White Sox injuries and an 8 game lead get a B+? This guy is a hack. He predicted the Sox as a Wild Card team before the season started. As for the White Sox, many are picking them to still win the division, even without Eloy Jimenez, and I still like the top of the lineup, the top three in the rotation, the bullpen depth and believe the AL East beats up on each other, allowing the two wild cards to come from the softer West and Central divisions. -- David Schoenfield
  16. With the hindsight, who should the Sox have acquired for Sale? This will be one of the better trades the team ever made, but you have no clue.
  17. Someone should tell Steve the odds of JR putting him in his will are about zero.
  18. The other thing is he wants Gallo and the reports are his price tag is daunting.
  19. I'll be really happy if they win the division. A 2b makes sense and a releiver or 2. If Eloy and Robert come back, Goodwin and Engel isn't a bad platoon in RF. Other than that, their line up is fine.
  20. Didnt Portillos supposedly stop because he didn’t want his source exposed? So if this is true and Story is on the move, it can’t be to the White Sox.
  21. The White Sox have a medical staff that has cleared Eloy for this activity. I don't think they would take a big risk with a cornerstone of their foundation.
  22. It amazes me they are still in Oakland.
  23. The Sox top 4 OF coming into spring training, all spent some significant time on the IL. Mocada has been banged up. Abreu has been banged up. TA hasn't hit many homers, he had leg issues. Grandal has been banged up. Vaughn had growing pains. He seems to be finding himself. I am all for getting a guy who hits homers to play 2B, but if their roster is relatively healthy by the playoffs, power is not going to be an issue.
  24. He's a 5 WAR player playing like this. Chris Sale is recovering from TJ surgery, and wouldn't have led the White Sox to 70 wins while he was here. He and Kopech are about as good of a return as anyone can realistically hope.
  25. Get Eloy and Robert and Grandal back, and neither will the power outage.
