  1. Lefties have to be lucky against that guy, but he will walk you if you let him. Goodwin didn’t let him.
  2. It will be a problem for every team. Hopefully they can avoid serious injury.
  3. No sticky stuff and probably the time some pitchers will tire due to last year's shortened season is not a good combo.
  4. No because TA would still be with the team next year. Story would be huge. He is off to a slow start for him, so history suggests he could have a huge second half.
  5. Tony should get a little hotter. It isn't going to hurt, and may get the Sox a call or 2 down the road. Obviously we don't know what he is saying from the dugout, but he rarely makes an appearance on the field, even though there has been several times it had been, as has getting ejected, been warranted. Katz got thrown out saying it was not up. This isn't Little League. Tony used to throw bases. Granted, at his advanced age, he may throw out his back if he tried, but his team has been screwed by bad balls and strikes calls more than most. Get tossed, see if it helps.
  6. Why do they check the pitchers after the inning? Shouldn't they do it before the inning?
  7. Interesting we have one thread that is trying to say the OF situation is so terrific, Adam Eaton should soon be DFA’d. Yet there are posts in this thread calling for the Sox to trade for a RF. Sheets is a lot better than I thought, but obviously not as good as he has played, so I would be careful trying to figure out when he will be giving a speech in Cooperstown. That said, ride the hot hand. Hopefully, Eaton is and can remain healthy. Hopefully, Eloy, Robert, and Engel can all come back and remain healthy, and there will be no reason to address the OF. I think ultimately, they get Escobar for very little other than a contract dump. We will have to see what other injuries occur, but with a 6 game lead there is no reason to rush. This team has shown it can withstand missing players, slumping players....It would really be nice to see them at full strength.
  8. Look on line at the standings. They have plenty of leverage.
  9. Greg Walker going away. Bad hitters were his fault. Good hitters, nothing to do with him
  10. Probably a blessing he bobbled. He throws through, the guy is most likely safe, and the runner takes 2nd.
  11. It looked like it was in the pinkie area. Even if he is hurt, I don't think it would be a long thing.
  12. He didn't take the cutoff in the baseline. He was on the other side of it and chased down the throw. He did what anyone would have done in his position and if it happened against the White Sox you would be going after the umpire.
  13. He was going after the ball that was thrown to him. Get a clue.
  14. Donaldson is a jackass, but I don't know what he is supposed to do there.
  15. First off, its a back up catcher, so temper the expectations. Secondly, the guy isn't used to sporadic playing time. Finally, he isn't playing based on opposing pitcher match ups. He is catching certain guys for the most part.
  16. It's weird, but Leury has been playing with a banged up knee. Maybe it was a little sore today.
