  1. I really think someone needs to show Tony splits, and also show him Leury Garcia is not, and never has been, a decent LH hitter. They would have most likely lost the second game even if Tony acted like he knew what was going on, but give the team a chance.
  2. First off, no one said he didn't get a take sign. But to say he got it and totally blew it off is a big leap. I would venture to guess he missed it. It does happen to lots of players, even players you like. As far as LaRussa yelling take, I am not buying it. And that is a major league park, there is no way to know if Yermin could have heard him. But whatever. He hit a HR. He should be applauded, not criticized. And even if your version was 100% accurate, the way your boy Tony handled it, throwing his own player under the bus publicly, and then having no problem with him being thrown at, is beyond ridiculous.
  3. 2-0 and photoshopped. Is that all you have?
  4. This loss is on LaRussa. Horrible managing.
  5. Someone should tell Tony this pitcher has reverse splits. He just gave them 2 outs.
  6. Let Ramirez beat you, and he will. Way to go Tony,
  7. Cmon man. He came in with the bases loaded and nobody out and let a run score. No competent pitcher does this.
  8. I wonder if Lynn has that same injury he had earlier. He seemed to be trying to stretch it out a few times his last inning.
  9. Leaving pitchers in that should be out just so they can be eligible for a win is stipid.
  10. If you don’t mash in Charlotte, it’s time to find another line of work.
  11. This is absolutely true. If it was The Big Hurt Lounge no one is outraged.
  12. If the choice is to wait until 9 pm play for 3 hours plus and do it again tomorrow afternoon or play 2 7 inning games tomorrow, I think the answer is easy, and I hate 7 inning games.
  13. Don’t recall that, but with his leg history, I don’t mind him sitting out a cold wet night if they play.
  14. Brant Miller said the rain in the city, and it is pouring now, may hang around until 9 pm.
  15. Also, it took about 25 games for someone to notice. Where was the outrage on Opening Day?
  16. It was his cousin who died.
  17. If it was enough to outrage when it was changed, although the plaque remains, it should have been something that was at least mentioned . It never was. I have literally been in that park over 1,000 times, and I had heard about it. Saw the name Loretta's Lounge, thought it was a nice thing. I saw the LaRussa's Lounge this season, couldn't remember it was Loretta's Lounge. I don't like Tony LaRussa, but this really is much ado about nothing. She had her name on a sign for years, and she still will be recognized. If this pisses someone off so much, they are just looking for things to piss them off.
  18. How many people knew the story of Loretta's Lounge before the complaints started? I don't recall one post before this was changed what a nice gesture it was to name a lounge after a dedicated food service employee. They kept the plaque. Will give the family a sign. For anyone this is bothering, it's time to let it go.
  19. This one is not going to be played tonight.
  20. Actually, most of the signs were probably thrown out They have new ones this season.
  21. Don't give them any ideas.
  22. True, but with the 7 inning games, it's only 1 more inning than if they had 1 DH and played regular rules.
  23. They get one of the games in and play a DH during the weekend. It's not that bad since DH games are 7 innings, the opponent is Baltimore and Sox starters are dealing.
  24. 3 bunts and Ruiz in a close game. The LaRussa blunders continue. However, you can’t win if you don’t score.
