  1. Even Our Chuck just said there was some questionable coaching decisions. I hope Phil Rogers wasn't watching his spoiled White Sox fan ass.
  2. White Sox fans were calling for Tony's firing from 1980 through when he was fired, except for the second half of 1983. This isn't ageism. It's not liking how a guy runs a team. When you are stacked, it doesn't matter. Tony has had the great fortune of managing teams with great players. Once those great players left or got hurt, his teams were bad.
  3. I told you before all the injuries you will be seeing guys play in places they never played under Tony. But Lamb and Vaughn trying LF does at least make some sense.
  4. And he is now out for supposedly an extended period. That was a nice non signing.
  5. Madrigal is having a better season than Tommy LaStella. Go figure.
  6. I would guess most training staffs do the same thing 99.9% of the time. There might be a rogue trainer or 2, but these are the elite people in their field, and they keep up with all the latest things.
  7. I agree, but why would they help the Sox out? Trade a popular guy to the Sox, He helps them win, and your prize is a couple of middling prospects and financial relief. Wouldn’t go over with their fanbase .
  8. At this point you just hope he can come back with the same speed and quickness he had. It would be an even bigger disaster if this made him a corner OF or a DH/1B.
  9. I cant see the Cubs trading Bryant to the Sox without getting back so,etching they could really hang their hats on. They can get mid level guys from anywhere and not help the Sox out.
  10. I don’t think they said that. I think they said he would be re evaluated today.
  11. No, but I have a really bad feeling about this one.
  12. It would have required an offer to consider signing elsewhere.
  13. Providing an update on an off day means bad news.
  14. I think some day the training profession is going to figure out once and for all how to prevent hamstring injuries, which would save a couple of these guys. Whether that is a year away, 10 years or longer, who knows, but I think it will happen. They somehow figured out how to prevent a couple of pitcher injuries you used to hear about a few times a week now rarely do. Torn labrums and torn rotator cuffs.
  15. Luis Gonzalez is Tony's new toy. An OF of Lamb, Leury, and Gonzalez might make Tony cancel his blue pill prescription. Then he's got Hamilton to PR for Lamb if he ever gets on base.
  16. Vaughn had 2 of the 4 hits. That should earn him some time off.
  17. Vaughn with another hit. Good reason to get Leury a couple of starts in Cincinnati.
  18. Jake Lamb has great ABs brother.
  19. Tony was able to put together a line up that was able to muster 4 hits yesterday and already has 3 hits today.
  20. He checked with the HOF before taking the job.. if it could ruin his HOF credentials he admitted he wouldn't have taken the job.
  21. So how do you know this was Yermins first late arrival? I have no problem benching a rookie for being late before his head balloons, but don't be lazy and just insert a guy who was deemed not good enough to be in the line up into the 5 hole.
  22. Jake Lamb batting 5th is genius. I don't want to sound like a very spoiled White Sox fan, I am just so happy the Sox have a HOF baseball person who recognizes the greatness of Lamb.
  23. It seemed apparent nothing was broken. Something was pulled or strained. I just hope he can get back before June.
  24. I don't understand the good news.evenif its mild, which it didn't appear to be, he is going to be out several weeks. He still could miss a couple of months.
