He is going to have a decision to make in a couple of weeks, does he want to go to Charlotte or be released again. I think he will chose being released.

The sad thing is the Bears would have rather traded for Foles than sign Dalton last year. But what do you expect? All of Pace’s QB decisions have been massive fails. -

Tomorrow should be a big day as every team has to get under the cap. There should be some pretty good casualties. -

Schaffer just said you can take it to the bank 4 QBs will be taken in the first 6 or 7 picks. That means #5 is going to go a lot earlier than he should. -
I just got the Pfizer shot. I am very scared, to a ridiculous level, of needles. I looked away, and I didn't even notice he got me. But an hour later, my arm feels like I just threw 140 pitches.

Until Puig has that alleged sexual assault thing cleared up, no one is going to touch him.
-
What's weird is they released him because he wasn't going to make the team. Unless Robert is hurt, he isn't going to make the White Sox. I wonder why he would sign.

I'm getting a shot tomorrow. I am petrified of needles.

It's the way the business works. We should feel bad for Coop in a way. 65 years old, gave 32 years to the organization, and is un ceremoniously dumped. Now, maybe they asked him to retire and make a big deal out of it, but he said no. That is very possible. But time moves on. There just may not have been a better way to move on , and that may not be on the team. There was one beat guy, and I forgot which who tweeted that it appeared Coop was getting kicked upstairs right before the announcement. So maybe Coop wanted no part of that.

People get way too caught up in spring training stats. Here are the Sox stats last year after a similar amount of games. Carson Fulmer was a star. So was Cheater Cuthbert and Nomar Mazara. Not so good.? TA, the ALMVP, Eloy http://www.thebaseballcube.com/topics/spring/stats.asp?Y=2020&T=7

FWIW, Jarrett Payton said his Seattle contacts said Wilson will be staying in Seattle. He is a media guy now, and you figure he has some decent sources. -
You make is sound like he was clingling to life, and is lucky to ever walk again. He was well enough to play. Considering what constitutes reasons for taking some time off these days, his injury isn't as "harrowing" and you make it out to be. Miguel Cabrera played with 2 herniated discs and somehow managed an .850 OPS a few years ago. And he hasn't been out of baseball 2 years. He played in 2019 and couldn't make the Red Sox except for one game last season.

There's a reason Lucroy is on a minor league contract. He has sucked. As much as catching is so coveted, and guys who really can't do much get guaranteed contracts, he couldn't get one You want to say he's been hurt for 5 years, and that is the reason, and he isn't hurt anymore, that's fine with me. But chances are he is a replacement level player at best.

It’s either going to be explosive or very boring. I tend to think boring. No one with the White Sox has ripped or even questioned Coop in any way since he was let go, so he may not have anyone to go after. Maybe Ozzie. I wonder if Coop will have a couple in him before the interview starts.

If the Bears give up the farm, get Wilson, and still suck, who cares? At least they will suck with a good QB for once. -

Yes, you can still get it, but it keeps you out of the hospital and morgue. -
I read a scout saying Andrew Vaughn was Paul Konerko on steroids. I wouldn't trade him. He is going to be in the middle of the line up for a long time. If the scout is correct, that is a HOF type of guy. I don't think RH wants his legacy to be a guy who traded multiple HOFers before they even got started.
