  1. What he should have done is what Al Aliva did with James McCann. Let the bum go.
  2. The turnout will be great, and a lot of lawyers will get paid with the litigation that will follow. That is my prediction.
  3. So to get this straight, the Trump administration pitted state vs state for PPE like The Apprentice, Governors edition, then told us they had this totally under control. Then said it should be gone by Easter or when it gets warm. Then said by Memorial Day it will all be behind us. Then told us they have this squashed, even declared victory , although there may be little "embers" from time to time to put out, to now telling us, nothing we could do except wait for a vaccine and therapeutics. Oh, and that $100,000 treatment of therapeutics POTUS got, if he gets reelected, that will be available to everyone for free even though there are 25k more new cases every day that the current number of treatments available.. What's not to believe? I do think one of the bigger problems with this pandemic is that it fell on an election year. If it happened last year or next, I don't think wearing a mask would have become a political statement. I think listening to the scientists even if that meant taking longer than the government wanted would have occurred, at least at a more frequent rate. I don't think shopping for a doctor on Fox News who says wearing masks do nothing, and no one would really be that sick would have been a priority to add to the task force.
  4. Yep, and it is going to be in conjunction with the return of Tupac and JFK Jr. from phony death island.
  5. Yeah, they just say everyone is a candid except Ozzie to throw everyone off. ozzie has to be the choice, assuming Terry Bevington doesn’t want to come back.
  6. His road and home stats those years were very similar.
  7. That was one of the best baseball games I have ever watched. Every inning, both teams answered, and what a play to end it.
  8. As they said on SNL last night, we have turned so many corners, we are back to where we started.
  9. I think if they do that, they should also ban hit and runs. That is basically forcing a shift and trying to hit the ball away from it. If more players just hit away from their shifts, it wouldn’t be so extreme.
  10. Didn’t you hear POTUS last night? We are rounding the turn. It is going away.
  11. There is no reason the Sox should offer him arb. Offer him $1 million or $2 million with some incentives so if he plays well he gets $6 million, and tack on a team option at $6 or 7 million. I think he would be a fool to turn it down.
  12. We won’t even need the vaccine.
  13. My cousin and his wife got Covid about a month ago. They both recovered. They had coughs, and not much energy. It lasted for about a week. Their doctor now tells them they have immunity for at least 90 days. I wonder if he knows something they aren’t telling the rest of us.
  14. If the White Sox had a bunch of Harold Baines like actors on their team, KW and RH probably don't get upset when Contreras gets hit after a pretty sweet bat flip. But they have guys that do the same thing.
  15. That the whole thing. They have always said wearing a mask, may help you slightly, but its main purpose is to help protect those around you. The guy who is not wearing a mask doesn’t care about anyone else, and POTUS and the like spread “fake news” about masks.
  16. He is actually mocking Joe Biden for saying he would listen to the scientists. I guess it will just magically go away once it gets warm is the way to think. Says if he listened to Fauci, over 500k would be dead. No logic, but that doesn't matter. And of the 3 (Biden, Trump, Fauci) 1 got the virus, and it wasn't the two Trump thinks have no clue.
  17. Hinch was a candidate for the Cubs job back in the day but Ricky had a better interview.
  18. Think about how sad our system is when doing the right thing and blowing the whistle on people doing bad things gets you a worse fate than just cheating.
  19. If you are a manager and your subordinates are doing bad things, you make it stop or report it up the flag pole. At the very least, you document the contact you made with the higher up. There is no way Hinch pushed this upstairs and they refused to do anything. If that were the case, he wouldn't have been fired, scapegoat needed or not.
  20. It depends what you are blowing the whistle on. If someone was a whistleblower on Peregrine a few years ago, I'm sure they wouldn't be PNG in the business. The problem with Hinch being a whistleblower is he was part of it, whether he really wanted to be or not. I won't be so pissed if they hire him, but while his baseball brain may be top notch, he is a very flawed "leader".
  21. Mike Fiers was the whistleblower here. He got a job. Granted, he has taken heat from some places, but I think more people think he did the right thing than those who think he is a douchebag for speaking out. Will Hinch whistleblow if this happens again under his watch? Because if he doesn't and someone does, not only will he not be getting another job, he will have the lifetime ban from baseball tatoo on his forehead.
  22. If he did that, and the owner fired him because of the scandal he told him to keep quiet, I think we would have heard about it by now.
  23. Thank God for this defense or the Bears are the Jets. They have to be the most boring offensive 5-1 team since teams actually started passing the ball.
  24. Even if the Bears win, Nagy needs to be fired. He is awful.
  25. It’s a bit different because AJ Hinch is the manager of the baseball team meaning he is pretty high up the flag pole, and if he takes the bullet and leaves, he will have no problem landing a similar job. It isn’t like most of us, if we stick our necks out we are trying to live on unemployment checks. IMO, he easily could have had this end if he wanted to. First, by stopping it himself. He is in charge.Second, by getting help if that didn’t work, and telling Lunhow if it doesn’t stop, I am resigning and telling everyone why. If he did that, he still would be managing the Astros, and there is a good chance Lunhow would still be in baseball. And the Astros probably would have won anyway. if your point is there was nothing he could do, you are saying with him as a manager, the inmates run the asylum, so he must be pretty shitty at his job. If he wants to blame Alex Cora, fine. Then the second a new camera goes up after Hinch destroys the first, Cora should have been dismissed. And he isn’t whistleblowing on someone above him, he is whistleblowing on employees he manages.
