No he should have acquired someone who can hit. I said during spring training I would have my pitchers throw Robert sliders off the plate, and if you walk him a few times, so what? It was obvious from the get go this team scoring more than 2 or 3 runs would be a challenge.

Other than you and Getz and some others in the White Sox organization, no one is shocked they all got hurt, and at the same time. Chris told us the AL Cenral was going to help for a quick bounce back. Check the standings. 23.5 out of 4th place.

Youre trying to have it both ways. Youtold us 3 guys who always get hurt getting hurt at the same time was the big reason they were so bad. Now these are guys he was stuck with is the reason. Getz is bad. Any other team would have fired him by now. Of course, they never would have hired him in the first place. I do think after the deadline, the Sox should release Eloy and Mobada. It makes no sense giving them ABs moving forward, and maybe they can find a better situation for themselves.

Getz echoed JR when he was hired saying the weak ALC was something that was going yo make his job a bit easier. Here we are, almost a year later, and except for the Marlins Chris team is farther out of 4th place in the ALC than any other team is out of first place. Can’t waste a year.

I get that, but as a Sox fan, I hope Getz doesn't cave in too much. They have to hit on these trades, or they are going to be bad for a long, long time.

I kind of like this guy. Wanted the Sox to sign him when he was a free agent really bad.

2021 he would have been in the minors. 2022 he was injured, and last season he was available for about 20 innings. He wouldn't be making 4-5 million now, and he would have at least 2 years less service time.

It got him a major league paycheck right away, and with his surgery, he would have made nothing. He has more money now than he would have had if the Sox made him a starter on day 1.

They usually get a little kicker. Crochet isn't getting jack. And if he is traded to a playoff team and is healthy, he will pitch in the playoffs without an extension.

This development Pedro always talks about is so fake. Right now, the only 'develpmental" position players are Lee, who Pedro tried to keep off the field as much as possible in the first half before his broken toy was taken away. The other is Baldwin, who is sure to be in Charlotte soon. The rest are vets they hope play better, but they have already shown, the staff can't help improvement along.

This is exactly right IMO. And it has been obvious for well over a season.

I'd wish they would at least do something minor today. It's going to be tough making 5 or 6 or 7 trades in a day or so, especially if a couple are rather large.

There probably isn't an organization in the world other than this one that would let this crap stand and do nothing. I don't care if Getz has been here less than a year, proof is he sucks. Are they waiting for Pedro to be 100 under .500 to launch him? It's insane they are still around.
