Fire Everyone Except Jason Gilliam
I’ll never fault people for going to games. I had season tickets over 30 years so I’ve paid to watch my fair share of bad baseball. And I understand the love of being there. Maybe that’s faded for me a bit. I used to go 65-75 times a year. Last year was the first year I gave up my tickets. I went to around 20 games. This year I have gone to 1 game. In. Milwaukee. I’m at the point where I cannot give JR my money for this crap. I just can’t. I still watch most of the games, but at least I get my time spent traveling to and from back. My company has tickets to all the pro teams in town and occassionally has a raffle when they are available. They are all primo. The other day, the White Sox were the first where no one was interested.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
A quote from Rick Telanders piece today No, it’s not a nice thing. But this failure should be honored as a symbol of badness, of what can happen when nobody at the top gives a damn. Or, maybe worse, when they do care but are too dumb or arrogant to know they haven’t a clue.

9/2 GT - Sox vs. Orioles 2:05 CT
Apparently the broadcast crew has no idea the White Sox used their challenge.

DeLoach and Iriarte recalled for roster expansion
No, JR owed it to the fans not to waste a year. We get to see records. Stuff we never saw before or could have even imagined.

DeLoach and Iriarte recalled for roster expansion
That Ramos thing could have been fixed by keeping Senzel on the roster 1 more day. And the next infielder up is Moncada.

DeLoach and Iriarte recalled for roster expansion
It’s bizarre Colas or Ramos doesn’t get the call. It almost seems as Getz is calling up the guys he traded for so he can show JR, see, what you had here sucked, even though I was in charge of developing them. The guys most deserving are the guys I traded for.

Thorpe season ending bone spur surgery in elbow
CC Sabathia pitched with a bone spur for 4 years and dominated.

The headline says it all...
H pe was available during the 2005 playoffs and in 2021. Other than that, he only has time to waste thinking the state will build him a new park. He finally spoke last year and mentioned the fans deserve this situation get fixed quickly. Well, the fans deserve an explanation of what’s going on now. There’s bad, and there’s this. 4-40?

9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)
I get the whole as long as JR is in charge nothing will change bit, and for the most part it’s true. But someone else may have focused on someone other than Vargas. Someone else may have selected McCarthy instead of Fletcher. Right there you’re a little better off. The question I would have for you is if JR wasn’t the owner and the Sox were 31-107, what do you think Getzs fate would be? If it’s a goner, wouldn’t that make it the correct move? The last 12 seasons, the Sox have the second worst record in baseball. There needs to be huge change to get the stink out of the organization,

9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)
But it would waste a year. Look at what’s been accomplished this year.

Thorpe season ending bone spur surgery in elbow
It’s better than TJS.

9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)
A few more facts. 4-40 last 44 games. Worst 44 game stretch since 1916 when the As went 3-41. Sox 3 10 plus losing streaks. Had 13 total before this season. And since 2013, only the Marlins have a worse cumulative record.

Sox flashback quote 8/31/23...
JR has full and total control and there is nothing his investors can do about . Once he dies, his executor has full control. His investors are at his mercy, but they have done quite well even with his missteps.

9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)
Schriffen just said the offense has had trouble scoring runs over this recent stretch. What stretch is that John.? 2022-2024?

8/31 Sox vs. Metropolitans 6:10PM
Apparently Soxfest is on for the last weekend in January. But it’s “reimagined”. I guess that means it will all be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the championship. Also, the 125th anniversary of the franchise with an emphasis on the good things that happened during the JR era. They will probably throw a lot of new stadium at the attendees, I would doubt the Sox front office will face the music.

Chet Lemon in bad shape from multiple strokes
The lasting memory I have of Ron LeFlore as a White Sox was him playing CF. Someone hit a routine flyball that bounced off his head, knocked him down ala TA with Jose Ramirez, and the batter running around the bases for a 4 base error.

9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)
This is, after all, the organization that thinks Miguel Vargas will be a middle of the line up hitter.

Sox flashback quote 8/31/23...
Nice quote. One year later on 8!31/24 his team clinched worst record in the AL with a month left in the season. Nice hire.

Traded for each other.

Fire Paul Janish
Incomplete. Some are really hopeful, but we will see. Ultimately what counts is what they do, not what they are ranked. Hopefully Schultz is a stud. Bush and Nastrini have major flaws. Cannon might be OK but might not. Who knows what is going to come of Thorpe elbow Martin looks good,, but how much is that have to do with Janish? Wasn’t that Banniister sugessting a grip, and it worked right away?

Sox looking at building in South Loop
Considering how Related and JR have states the studies all show the states 10 figure investment is a total win for the state, how they couldn’t find investors to build this privately with minimal cost to the state. They will be counting their money forever.
