My wife who knows nothing about baseball, hated Pedro. She thought he was pompous. That brings me to Getz. How does a GM of a 28-89 team with the 10th pick of the next draft , actually say this team isn't far off?

My thought is who has Getz added that you can say, wow, that guy is really going to help? Thorpe I guess. But he cost Cease, and who knows how long he lasts until surgery. The draft pick I liked. But everyone else is a fringe guy. He still hasn't acquired anyone that can make the manager say, we have to sit Sheets.

How so?

You can't make this up. 28-89 , his top prospect is hitting .210 in AAA and can't hit a fastball, and he says progress.

Pedro was in uniform and with another organizaiton.

They need to hire someone who has managed before. They need to learn from the Grifail. Pedro aced the interview. He aced the press conference, then reality snuck in, and he was in way over his head.

The good news is whoever eventually gets this job has a 99.99% chance of being an upgrade from Pedro. Of course I thought the same thing about Hahn.

I think its pretty telling that not only did they rid themselves of Pedro, they got rid of all his boys too.

If there had just been some proof Pedro had no business managing an MLB team before this season started......

What Getz is saying doesn't match up with keeping Pedro on so long.

So he goes from catcher coach which they supposedly didn't need because-Maldy, to bench coach. Makes perfect sense.

They might have snapped it without tying a record if they fired him sooner. That Royce Lewis AB, pitching to him with 1B open and the infield playing in. Walk him, get a weaker hitter up, set up the DP. Not Pedro. 3 run homer. 7-2 game, and it's over.

Its so Sox they waited until he won a game to fire him.

There really is no reason they didn't do this sooner. The rest of the season is all about not setting an MLB record for ineptitude. They can win the rest of their games, they can lose the rest of their games, they will be in the same draft position. No one will buy if Gavin Sheets gets hot, that he's a building block. Play the kids, they will be better away from this loser. Hopefully better enough to avoid the record.

If Pedro ever gets on an MLB coaching staff again, he'll probably be at least 4 or 5 ejections away from the line up card.

Pedro is just going to have to flush it. Now he will have time to read Baseball for Dummies.

My experience with Brooks has been the same. It's been a long while, but the couple times I interacted with him, he was great. Friendly, funny, and generous with his time. Hawk said something first, then the issues with Jason...I hope there is nothing to it,, but there certaintly appears there is.

Pedro said he liked the Touki match up. Ozzie questioned how could you like the Touki match up when he’s been in the minor leagues all year. There wasn’t any info. Just some more Pedro BS.

I was the fool that thought at least Getz wasn't Hahn. He makes Hahn look like Scheurholz.

I'm kind of like that, but then not. It's weird, but i think where I am is if they aren't going to start having people walk the plank, I hope they get every dubious record out there. If they start letting this morons go, I hope they avoid them.

The fact that is has reached this point, and every decision maker still has their job shows there is a lack of competiteness with the organization. How they can't be embarrassed beyond belief is stunning.

I do think the streak will end tonight. Cannon's been pretty good, and Oakland has a bum on the bump.

He's also done multiple negative things. At some point 27-88, an unfathomable record, needs some accountability. The whole place should be cleaned out. It won't obviously, but the inac tion so far is a middle finger to the fanbase. Hopefully, the fanbase gives it right back.Pedro is a premier brown nose. What he was saying about JR in the papers was beyond laughable.

There is not another organization in the world would keep this clown and Pedro on. It really is amazing.
