  1. Trump set himself up for all these women to come out of the woodwork, whether they are lying or not, he boasted about doing exactly what they are accusing him of doing. If it wasn't such an embarrassment to our country, it actually would be very funny. How can Trump ever be credible? It's one lie after another. He donated to 9/11 charities, except he didn't. https://www.yahoo.com/gma/nyc-audit-finds-n...topstories.html He was boasting not too long ago how he would be maybe the first candidate who made money running for president. I think he may be one of the few who wind up totally ruined by doing it.
  2. Looks like the minor league staffs are going to be shaken up pretty much.
  3. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 07:32 PM) Ron Kittle told me the team outright quit in the second half of 1984. Remember they had won seven straight and were in first place at the break. The big difference between 83 and 84 was Jerry Koosman. I had so many guys tell me off that club him not being there was a difference maker. Even JR admitted that was one of his biggest mistakes as owner, letting the Sox trade him for Ron Reed. Koosman was like a second pitching coach, kept players in line and acted as a reassuring voice in the clubhouse when things got tight. Tony LaRussa told me a big part of the reason Bull had a bad 84 and retired was because Kooz wasn't around. They were tight and would drive to the ballpark together. But back to the point, the 84 team had nothing to do with my comment that the 83 team was in my opinion much more talented than the 03 club as the poster originally suggested (i.e. the most talented in franchise history...) But carry on with whatever you are suggesting. Mark I love Kitty but when he told you the team "outright quit" the second half of 1984, did he mention his .181/.256/.386 second half that year? Did he check out?
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 07:26 PM) Trump in 2010 on Fox boasted that the best way to win over a woman is to “move forward, even if you get smacked." I don't like Trump, and don't doubt for a second he has stepped way over the line on several occasions, but this one is a reach IMO.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 05:56 PM) Seems to be a pattern: Yeah I just don't think it's predatory towards them.
  6. Trump is creepy and unqualified and probably a pervert, but I really think the comments to the really young girls were in jest. Just some guy pushing 50 who wanted the world to know he would be dating 18 year olds. There is plenty of other info to rip him to shreds. I really don't think these particular events were a big deal.
  7. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 03:06 PM) Here's the full context of Trump's (((international banks))) comments "thinly veiled" is being too kind. Trump will fix it. Look it what he promised Gary, IN and how he delivered.
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 02:41 PM) For those of you who say that is why Cutler is a starter or way better. I'd just throw the flipside that Cutler hasn't exactly led any dynamic offenses during his time with the Bears (despite having quite a bit of talent). At this point, Jay is what he is and he isn't a guy who leads win, but I still believe you can win with him. He clearly is not going to be with the franchise next year and I don't think that is a bad thing (as we need to turn the page). What we can't have happen is people to have some false reality that Hoyer is anything more then a good guy to have around to help groom whomever the young QB is (and I actually think Hoyer would be a pretty solid mentor). His turnovers are the great equalizer. He did a good job of cutting down last year.
  9. QUOTE (brett05 @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 01:41 PM) Really? With the leak of questions by CNN, the DNC doing what they could to make sure Bernie failed. you're right, no rigging at all. If it's rigged, why is Genius Donald running?
  10. Why would such a "genius" businessman "self fund" a run for an office he cannot win because the system is rigged against him? Logic has never entered a Trumpkins mind.
  11. It will be interesting to see what this does to Trump after the election. His base isn't exactly the target of his brand. I think if the Apprentice tape comes out and he actually said what that woman is claiming, he may be totally ruined and Eric Trump may have to get a real job.
  12. QUOTE (brett05 @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 01:11 PM) Another poll out post Debate with Trump leading the election by two points. (Rasmussen) He still will lose. It's rigged.
  13. He shows us every minute he could never handle be POTUS.
  14. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 12, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) Mayor 9/11 suggesting that Clinton didn't care about 9/11, wasn't there http://www.nydailynews.com/news/hillary-cl...Slide=1.2183706 Facts and pictures don't matter to the Trump supporters. If Guilani said she didn't care and wasn't there, they buy it. I really think this guy has lost his mind. On the bright side, at least he remembers these attacks happened now. He forgot a month or so ago, thought nothing happened until Obama.
  15. Bar is lower, but I'm not buying what she is selling. Not a fan of DRose, but I don't think he's a rapist. A couple of lawyers told her to go scratch when she was shopping this case. She found a bottom of the barrel attorney, who was just looking for a settlement and some quick money, who more than likely withheld things on purpose when he or she realized they actually would have to show some proof.
  16. So Harold Reynolds said Kerahaw isn't getting the high K total today. Yep, only 9 in 5 innings.
  17. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) And they do, at least as far as I'm aware, but I'm not the BABIP police. I don't think they are. What if you hit a ball over the wall and missed 3B rounding the bases and you were called out on appeal? Technically it's a double. Would that be considered a ball in play. Pretty rare. Carlos May once missed home plate hitting a ball over the wall. He got a triple. The ball that bounced off Canseco's head over the wall for a HR, was technically in play for a bit.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 03:19 PM) lol, apparently the Boston front office was up early this morning writing propaganda. If they had no interest in these guys because of their six starters, they wouldn't have been sniffing around them three months ago. GMAB. Add to that a first round sweep, and the pressure goes UP on them to make a move, not down. Yeah, a team that came up short as it was doesn't pretty much stand pat and stay in house when it is losing it's biggest run producer. Even with a free agent, chances are their DH production is going down. They need to make up for it some way, and on the mound is the answer.
  19. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 02:40 PM) Why wouldn't we think he was serious? Who falsely brags about sexual assault? Trump already admitted on Howard Stern that he would barge into the dressing rooms of Miss USA contestants to see them naked. This isn't a guy who gives a s*** about what women want. They're sexual objects. He does whatever he wants and knows he has enough power/money to get away with it. And in 1997 he was sued by a former business partner for doing exactly what he said he could do to Billy Bush. Whether it actually happened, who knows. The lady has done some things that would break out red flags, like date him later after they both were divorced. The comment was awful, and if he was a younger guy, it could have blown over. But a 59 year old? He is what he is.
  20. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) Not really. By definition, a home run is not "in play", as the defense can neither catch the ball for an out, nor can they throw to a base timely to get the hitter out. A home run is one of the three true outcomes (HR, K, BB), none of which effect BABIP. What about an inside the park homer?
  21. No sense paying it now. Wait a couple of weeks.
  22. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Oct 10, 2016 -> 02:50 PM) The large loss carryforwards from the casino business not withstanding, Trump wouldn't have paid a dime in person income taxes anyway. That's not because he doesn't make a ton of money, its because his accountants follow basic accounting laws. There are a bunch of reasons to hate and/or dislike Trump - the lack of paying income taxes isn't one of them. The whole thing is stupid. Trump is also on record as saying he pays substaintial federal tax.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Oct 10, 2016 -> 02:40 PM) Sure, but that's not really the way Hilary portrays it. She moreso portrays it that he didn't help the country for all those years (last night she even listed off all the things tax dollars are used for - schools, military, infrastructure, etc.) because he didn't pay taxes. Loss carryforwards are a basic accounting practice; basically all real estate developers that have any significant holdings don't pay personal income tax. It's not exactly rocket science. Amortization and depreciation are non-cash expenses that lower the taxable net income of individual real estate holdings. When you own as many real estate assets as Trump owns, these numbers are quite significant. The fact that he took advantage of those tax laws (as all wealthy Americans should do), isn't exactly damning. It's sort of bewildering that Hilary keep focusing on it - its almost like she doesn't get it. What I don The fact that Trump ventured into the casino business and failed, which is the source of the ~$1B in loss carryforwards in 1995 should definitely be viewed as a negative, but the fact that he took that failure and used a basic tax law to shelter income for the foreseeable future is something that any person in that situation would do. Right, but that is part of the game. Trump can either take what Hillary is saying, or admit he was such a genius businessman, and under his direction making deals, all the US will ever do is win, and win so much we all will be sick of winning, he didn't have to pay federal taxes for almost 20 years because he lost so much money making great deals.

  25. Since Trump had no idea he disagreed with Pence on Syria, could this mean he didn't watch the VP debate?
