Wonder if Peavy is hurt. With the way the pen has been used and the fact that scoring 5 more runs are not possible with this team, taking Peavy out is a waste of time.

A walk to the White Sox means nothing as they cannot string any type of hitting together without a home run. For years now the selection has been to swing at anything close regardless of the outcome. They are like a little league team in that regard. The count means nothing. It does not matters if it is close, they will put it in play. A part of me wonders that the lack of execution from this organization for the entire season has anything to do with Ventura turning down an extension. This team is not doing anything similar to what it did last year.

Well if you hang pitches they usually are hit hard except by the White Sox that swing right through them or pop them up. I could be wrong but it seems that s*** players really kill the White Sox. Thank god it rained yesterday or this would a tad more embarrassing. Dunn'll homer in the ninth with the Sox down 9-1

While I am not that big of a Flowers fan, it is the players that are expected to hit (De Aza, Dunn, Konerko, Keppinger) that will keep this team where it is, mediocre, not Flowers. Now if Flowers defense does not improve he should be gone by the break.
