  1. Awesome game
  2. DirecTV not picking up signal due to weather but the sox game coming in clear as a bell f***
  3. Stuck with last nights game, going to cut the grass and watch the hawks Adam Dunn is pathetic. f***ing enough already.
  4. So the pirates won two extra inning 1-0 games v the tigers wow
  5. The cubs have nothing close to Chris Sale that is what you build franchises around.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2013 -> 03:05 PM) I'd rather protect the health of our trade chip than worry about Nate Jones being overused today. Face it, if the Sox are close tomorrow night, it's not like Jones was going to be used. But he was only at 69 pitches. there is useless hit that will be wasted
  7. If peavy is not hurt, this is worst piece of managing yet by Ventura. This was not hard to see the bullpen continues to be fried. what he f*** exactly was Caper Wells going to do?
  8. let nate go two maybe three innings and then sit at Charlotte until the all-star break.
  9. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 30, 2013 -> 02:52 PM) With this wind, this game is still within reach. Just saying. with this offense, this game is not within reach. the fact hat the White Sox need to use their bullpen for 5 innings, this game is not within reach take your asswhipping and hope to start anew tomorrow
  10. Wonder if Peavy is hurt. With the way the pen has been used and the fact that scoring 5 more runs are not possible with this team, taking Peavy out is a waste of time.
  11. QUOTE (mike89128 @ May 30, 2013 -> 02:45 PM) Viciendo has been a complete liability since he came back from the DL.This entire team needs a make-over. He hit pretty well. In reality he and dunn should platoon at DH which is f***ing sad. Manto should be fired because his philosophy was good 10 years ago.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 30, 2013 -> 02:28 PM) It's 50 games in pretty cool overall conditions. If Rios and Ramirez are tired, that's pretty sad. It's baseball, they aren't competing in triathalons every day. You could be right but I wouldn't hurt to give them a day off would it?
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 30, 2013 -> 02:28 PM) They still ought to get the occasional offday. Rios playing 51 straight games is insane. Absolutely.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2013 -> 02:22 PM) I doubt it. If that was the reason we would have seen either coaching or player changes. I am thinking more from a mentality standpoint. The approach to the game this year is 100% different from last. Almost like the team was not ready and maybe Robin was not ready to commit to a season worth of work. I don't know it just seems like what this team did last year it is not doing this year. The focus and possible work-ethic is not there. It was just something that passed through my mind as I watch this. Oh and the fact that Rios and Ramirez have to play every inning of every day because there is no bench whatsoever does not help.
  15. A walk to the White Sox means nothing as they cannot string any type of hitting together without a home run. For years now the selection has been to swing at anything close regardless of the outcome. They are like a little league team in that regard. The count means nothing. It does not matters if it is close, they will put it in play. A part of me wonders that the lack of execution from this organization for the entire season has anything to do with Ventura turning down an extension. This team is not doing anything similar to what it did last year.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 28, 2013 -> 10:59 PM) Do you really think Miami should have just went 16 and 0 this post season? Miami is really talented but they do have weaknesses which just happen to be Indiana strengths. Pretty tough to just steamroll trough the playoffs no matter how good you are. Spurs are doing it with a lot less hype and a tougher conference.
  17. Hey caulfield did Ned Yost spit at you while walking up the ramp at old shea stadium (Seinfeld joke). In other Al Central news, that Pittsburgh Detroit series has been great.
  18. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 29, 2013 -> 03:49 PM) pretty clear what the book is on the sox: they'll chase breaking balls out of the zone. Go read Jeff Manto's quotes when hired as the hitting coach they were Hawk Harrelson assinine then and still are
  19. 0-6 with five strikeouts for the number four and five hitters, yet Flowers is the problem with the offenses inability to score run.
  20. man does he f***ing suck The three game hot streaks do no good if you hit like a pitcher the next 15. How he stays batting in the middle third is mind blowing.
  21. Yep should pinch hit for him and call it a day. Casper Wells can strike out in his place.
  22. Well if you hang pitches they usually are hit hard except by the White Sox that swing right through them or pop them up. I could be wrong but it seems that s*** players really kill the White Sox. Thank god it rained yesterday or this would a tad more embarrassing. Dunn'll homer in the ninth with the Sox down 9-1
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 29, 2013 -> 01:57 PM) 4 minutes and 2 batters later...Please say they are done scoring this series. They are done scoring in the series.
  24. While I am not that big of a Flowers fan, it is the players that are expected to hit (De Aza, Dunn, Konerko, Keppinger) that will keep this team where it is, mediocre, not Flowers. Now if Flowers defense does not improve he should be gone by the break.
