  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 20, 2013 -> 10:55 PM) school will get out and they'll get more, although it's delayed because of the stupid strike early in the year. Cps kids are not the draw, it is the suburban families.
  2. Doesn't Bowden who owns the Broncos or the guy that used to own the Sting own more.
  3. A baseball guy with ties to the Chicago White Sox that has a good business sense will be the President and report to the Board, think Tony Larusssa type guy.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 19, 2013 -> 11:58 PM) AL Central has everyone lined up with even numbers now... CLE -- DET -2 KC -4 CHW/MINN (five game losing streak) -6 Eight or nines game back is the "magic number" for this season being in jeopardy and a return to "rebuilding/restructuring/reloading" conversations. If you are looking at games back the only team to look at is Detroit. That is at four.
  5. QUOTE (mike89128 @ May 19, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) Wonder how much more 1-8 series by Flowers will Hahn and Ventura put up with.Guy is a certified rally killer. The 0-8 by the 3-4-5 hitters is the bigger issue.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 19, 2013 -> 04:42 PM) Leadoff double Conor Wasted
  7. Just got in and read the game thread to see how things went, sports fans, I think we have an ace.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 17, 2013 -> 12:20 AM) Tell that to Jenks or Koch, lol. Actually, Tom Gordon would be a perfect example, or Foulke. Neither as closers threw much over 90, but they had the #2 pitch (curve and change) to nullify batters trying to cheat. Even Takatsu, although that frisbee was a one trick pony...he had more velocity than Dylan. Jenks hook was what made him unhittable
  9. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ May 17, 2013 -> 12:16 AM) Addison Reed is the case study for velocity being overrated. Velocity is nothing for a closer control of two good pitches is the key
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 17, 2013 -> 12:14 AM) With Wimpy it seems more like two old friends watching a game over beer, catching up on the old days. Which is when hawk is at his best
  11. Fathom there is the location change to callaspo you were looking for
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 17, 2013 -> 12:08 AM) I got a bad feeling about this. Me too but I felt hast way with mauer and morenau the other night as well
  13. That was a spot where flowers should have been pinch hit for.
  14. More walks this inning then they had in some series this year.
  15. On the radio this morning the were talking about how the playoffs did not benefit the Bulls at all in the grand scheme of things. I think it helped Jimmy Butler and Noah as well as got Teague some time.
  16. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 15, 2013 -> 04:08 PM) 17-21. Same record as last year after 38 games. That is surprising.
  17. Score more than three runs and good things happen. Rios and Dunn 7 for 8, 5 runs scored 5 RBI Nice way to end the workday
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ May 15, 2013 -> 03:20 PM) June 5th...when they get back from Seattle. If they can go 13-7, that'll get them over .500. It's doable. If the White Sox hit at a league average and sustain no more long term injuries they will be fine.
  19. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 15, 2013 -> 09:58 AM) Was San Diego going to play Rizzo as a DH? They like Yonder Alonso better in that ballpark. Also, Andrew Cashner has looked pretty damn good so far this year. Granted, it was a deal made between friends but it wasn't completely lopsided. Cashner gets injured at a Jim McMahon type clip that is what made the deal bad.
  20. The anemic offense has nothing to do with Tyler Flowers. Compared to other catchers in the league he is fine. It is the leadoff hitter and $28M combo of slow white 1B/DH that are killing this team along with the $3M platoon player trying to play everyday. Now go win one before heading out west.
  21. Maybe all of the innings Ramirez has played are catching up to him.
  22. The White Sox will help get some angels players going like they did last year.
  23. Not reading this thread but what does every team want, good young pitching
