This week is the make or break point of the season. Write off the last week to hot teams on the road and we gave the games away. Fine. While the Sox are facing the Yankees, the Tigers and Indians face the Royals and Rangers. The Sox need 3 of 4 and they should be able to accomplish that. If they can not take 5 of the next 7 you then have to realize this team is what everyone expected them to be, a .500 team.

Who was called up for Gonzalez? Fields could do no worse than Crede right now. If you aks me Joe is trying to play through back pain and knows there is a huge risk on going to the DL and having Fields come up and produce.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 11:36 AM) LOL, Ichiro is Japanese? You dont say! Yes but there is another Japanese centerfielder that the cubs are looking at, I have no clue what is name is but he is suppossed to be pretty good.

The reason this deal gets done is simple. The Yanks will give the Sox $10M to free up a roster spot to go after one of Hunter, Ichiro, the Japanese Centerfielder, or Jones. These are guys that KW wants as well but if he can get Abreu and thinks he can lock him up, he doesn't play the FA game. Yanks outfield is set next year if they have to DH Giambi with Matsui, Damon and Abreu. If the Yanks like Dye, they can keep him as a DH. The Yanks also may feel that they could be ridding themselves of A-Rod which opens more cash up. Could a real blockbuster be in place involving Crede? Let's rotessirie this, you want a splash, McDougal, Crede, and Dye for Abreu and A-Rod.

Wasn't it the Yankee pen that began the complete lockdown of the Chicago White Sox? I believe they got to De Salvo and Mussina and then Luis Vizcaino shut them down........ -

I believe the White Sox are 6 for their last 100 against bullpen pitchers. Dewon Day is a disaster waiting to happen but will be here for a while. McDougal to the DL Aardesma down If Crede has options send him down. That will wake him up. Our bench coach should be fired I have stated this all season as he is as inept as anyone. If he (Cora) was running this team after Guillen was tossed he should be fired...... oh wait, another person in bed with Guillen so he therefore can not be fired. Oh well, at least they have their rings and we have our memories. Letting Owens hit was bizarre. Jenks has pitched once in the last 8 games. Why not run for AJ? -

Somebody just shot Konerko on his way to first!!!!!!!!!! An injury to him will be the excuse why this team sucks. -

0-60 So far so go on my prediction. Do the White Sox understand pinch hitting is allowed? They have 4 hits today. Since hte 3 game barage runs scored 0,5,4,4,2,6,0,3,3,3 = 3 runs a game. Record in those games 2-9 That's good stuff. -

I will not give the pitching that much of a break but when the opponents spend the entire game hitting, they are bound to get on a roll. Tallet has thrown 43 pitches in 3 innings for god's sake. This is the american League you need to hit hte ball. For f***'s sake at least get a hit. Masset threw as many pitches that inning as Tallet has in three. Time to cut the lawn. -

That looks like a hit and run and Iguchi saying f you I ain't swinging at that. Can't make 'em pay. he just swungat the same pitch he toook for he Uribe steal. I'd like 0 for 70 that sounds good. They can get close today. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 12:12 PM) Overbay was begging for a reason to not have to keep hitting. Not only did he swing at that, he didn't try to get out of the way. How pathetic. Uh oh, Ozzie gets the heave ho and he's not happy. This isn't Pinella-esque but he's really not happy. Yet another thing the stupidity of White Sox hitters are unable to exploit. When behind 0-2 or 1-2 getting hit by a pitch is a good thing. Why is it other teams can do it but the morons on the Sox can not comprehend this. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 12:08 PM) Random note: Josh Fields with the day off today. Does it mean he's one of the changes tomorrow? No, but I can dream right. We're fortunate that didn't get out of here, and darn almost had him at 2nd. Maybe. The thought is to give Crede every third game off. If Fields at least held is own at short there is a chance he could be called up to play a little left or short if needed. -

Nice job making them pay for intentianally walking a .252 hitter in the 3rd inning. That is embarassing. DJ with a rip, nice. 8 pitches low and away, dive over the plate......moron. -
