White Sox vs. Yankees, 5/16/07 Lets Play Two!! (W), (L)

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 16, 2007 -> 02:00 PM) That thing is a dozen rows up on a normal day. A-Rod thought he had it, Sweeney sprinted all the way to the wall and actually looked up for a moment before the wind drifted it back in and towards center and he caught it a step in front of the wall. Danks is still pitching great though. FINALLY a hard hit ball, and right at Phelps. Figures. Radio said he took a bad route. -

3-0 on last two hitters after retiring the first two then pitches around it. Nice -

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ May 16, 2007 -> 01:40 PM) Molina yes, but I wouldnt write in stone that Terrero will start in LF for the nightcap just yet. Ozzie could out Rob Base in LF, with him at DH in the first....and of course everyone's favorite donkey, Pablo. I think Terraro in Center, and either Erstad or Konerko at DH/1B with Mack in Right and Ozuna at second or third for Crede or Iguchi. -

Doesn't it seem that in just about every series there is a player that struggles and then gets really big hits and gets hot against White Sox pitching. With Terraro and Molina starting in the next game Wang may throw a perfect game. Guaranteed WHIP for the game of 0.667. We'll end up with 6 base runners. Also AJ is becoming a defensive liability. -
Go and read the Spoilers for the next two episodes. They sound cool but there is a really odd ending to the season that sounds really Jump the Sharkish but this has happened before with good results.

I'd rather risk Thome and Hall at 50% then Mack and those other bench options. -

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ May 15, 2007 -> 10:43 AM) have the Sox played a home game when the weather has been in the 80s? Saturday and Sunday were perfect days for baseball. Anything like yesterday is to warm for the white folks, just ask Dusty. -
QUOTE(briguy27 @ May 14, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) so seriously, as of right now, if the sox could trade their team for the cubs team straight up, would u do it? i mean, the sox have no hitting, but they have to go up, considering u cant go much further down. but the cubs have lee and ramirez, and also marquis and hill. what does everyone think...? This is the stupidist thread I have ever read. I'll take a team under .500 in the NL and see what they can do in the AL. What sense would that make? Jason Marquis is magically a real good pitcher now? Come on. You end up with Dempster, Howry and Eyre. You think our bullpen is bad. How about that outfield defense. Pie is not even in the majors. He is Brian Anderson with some speed AND STRIKES OUT MORE! WTF is wrong with some poeple. The Mets defense tried to give them the game. Ya I'll take the under .500 team from the worst division in baseball and see if they can have a better record than the team that is winning in the best division in baseball. Come on.

White Sox vs. Royals, 5/13/07 (L)

Just got home from the game. This game was over first when the line-up was made. Second when he didn't pull Vazquez after hitting German. He has to manage to win every game I'm sorry especially against the teams you have to beat. This week could get really ugly. I would pass on the rehab assignments and activate Hall and Thome. There is no reason not to, they could look no worse. -
QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ May 11, 2007 -> 03:35 PM) no prob. Glad I went to listen to the post game show and saw it. It's pretty sweet and a good price if you compare it to these others... http://www.steinersports.com/ssm/control/c...;lc=home_banner The Joe Pepitone and then have Kramer (Michael Richards) sign it would be a keeper.

QUOTE(joeynach @ May 11, 2007 -> 03:02 PM) I believe its called a sandwich series. I thought a sandwich series is when you play one team then another and then play the first team again. Hence one team is sandwiched between playing the same. As Oppossed to the old home and home made famous in hockey.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 10, 2007 -> 11:34 PM) Either way, it's terrible. What got me was the Sweentney part. Ok, its baseball, Mike Sweeney can happen, but Mike Sweentney? Come on.... They are confusing him with a 300 pound 7 foot black guy from the Bulls, easy mistake.

I look at it like this. A couple of beers after a sporting event help to build the comradarie that it takes to be a winner. I think it helps a team to bond and tolerate each other for the balance of the schedule. They all can afford cabs and limos. Pure ignorance gets them in trouble. Banning this is pointless and irrelevant and I like the fact that Guillen took the stance that these are men that should be able to handle themselves. I enjoy softball because I enjoy the cocktails afterward and talking about how bad we are. Without alcohol there would not be the line, "Play some f***ing Journey" and hence maybe not the belief associated with it and Steve Perry gracing the credenza (sp) of a World Series parade.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ May 10, 2007 -> 04:44 PM) My guess is Sayid and Charlie get the boot this season. Charlie offers nothing to anyone except s***ty music--also, if he goes, will Desmond see the future for other characters? I think Sayid offers a lot to the group, but the show wants some shock value. In the grand scheme of things, Sayid really has no ties to the island. So he probably serves no purpose to revealing the answers of the show. Although, neither does Kate. (Kate would be the first person I'd get rid of.) That's just my take of it. And if Ben and the Others killed off Dharma, why did Desmond and his partner make it? And why were food supplies still getting shipped in? Are the Others posing as Dharma? Is that why they keep bringing in new recruits, etc? I believe Desmond and his partner (interigated Sayid in Iraq and Kate's original father I believe) were not part of Dharma. I also believe that the Others were not aware of the Swan station. That situation confuses me some. Mikhail communicated with the outside world and I believe the Others purported to be Dharma and continued to get the supply drops. The scientific and advanced lifestyle of the Others as they transferred from the Hostiles confuses me as well.

Post game callers are morons. There is a guy trying to make the point that Guillen says Terraro is better than Sweeney. Get a clue.

QUOTE(bad at best @ May 10, 2007 -> 02:35 PM) we needed that series. got it. shoulda, coulda, woulda been a sweep though. Should've lost Sunday.

I did zero work until the start of the bottom of the 9th when I got a phone call which lasted until the game was over. Our starters have given up 4 runs I believe to the Twins in 5 starts...
-
At some point the middle of this order needs to do something. They are 3-16...well I guess that is just about their combined average.
-
The way these guys go I see a blooper to score two..... Great to be wrong Nice job Let's get a couple more.

Need to get Punto here.
