  1. WHY DO YOU f***ING HIT AND RUN WITH YOUR HOTTEST HITTER AND SECOND HOTTEST HITTERS COMING UP. THIS TEAM HAS POOR MANAGEMENT DECISIONS. Work the god damn count and make him throw pitches. Jesus.
  2. 2-0 pitchers should be f***in ripped or taken not god damned popped out. Christ.
  3. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 07:03 PM) Carl has sucked for awhile now and I don't understand why Ozzie doesn't give Borchard or even Anderson a try in his place and let one of the of'ers DH. I think dino-man trys hard and all that, but if you ain't doing it then try someone else for a bit. Give him a rest. He will rest him after he goes 3 for 4 with 10 RBI.
  4. Maybe we can learn that you can take a walk once in a while.
  5. The Sox need to work the count. Both bullpens are taxed the first to have to dip in could be in big trouble. Both guys around 50 through 3.
  6. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 06:57 PM) Nice job gooch. More detail, please.
  7. I am losing faith in Pods he doesn't seem to understand the strikezone.
  8. MLB.com isn't bad it is easy to keep two open windows to toggle with.
  9. Was Blake's a good hit or a US Cell warm night job?
  10. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 06:42 PM) guys, relax. Garland sounds like he's going well and Elarton is mortal, I can feel it. Yeah.
  11. I didn't read all of these but Comcast Plus has the Milwaukee Fox feed for the cub...
  12. No bathroom lines. If it is cold the bathroom and a seating area are inside.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) I think it was the right decision to play the infield back. You can't afford to have the ball get through a drawn in infield. You're chances of getting to a ball are much better with the infield back and in that situation you don't want a run to score but you can afford to have 1 run score compared to 2 runs. Oh yeah, on the whole walk vs a double thing, having a runner in scoring position to start off an innning is 1000X worse than having a runner on 1st, I don't give a s*** how they get on base. Without hearing anything on this topic during the game, I would assume he meant it as he would rather give up a shot hit by throwing strikes as oppossed to walking someone. You can make a great play on a well hit ball. The walk has no defense.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 10:32 AM) Not to steal SSI's thunder, but Walker clearly isn't getting through to these guys. There is only so much talking you can do especially to guys like Everett and Konerko. I am not the biggest Walker fan but how many hitting coaches are we going to go through. In our park everyone swings for the fences hence better more consistent production on the road. I really believe this is our hitters and not philosophy.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 10:25 AM) Ummm....Uribe's new leg kick started after talking to Hriniak, and Crede discovered when watching old films that he needed to keep his hands up more. Walker brought Hriniak in. Why Hriniak isn't a fulltime guy is beyond me. He is what this team needs and is a smallball mentality guy. Both Walker and Hriniak are Charlie Lau guys. Contact - line drive, swing down on the ball.
  16. With a healthy Hermanson next year our bullpen with no changes is disgustingly filthy. Jenks has thrown 4 of 5 days in tight games, Aaron misplayed that ball. Hermanson with the win. Why not use Cliff more often???
  17. Raised my arms and give a nice soft but quite passionate (the kids were sleeping). f*** ya, Get Back Joe Joe.
  18. You don't destroy a 90+ (possibly 95+) win team. Tinker, yes...................destroy, no
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 09:39 AM) I sincerely believe that the Indians are guaranteed to make the playoffs right now. They're just playing too well to not win a substantial amount of the rest of their games. Thus, it's between the Sox and the Yankees to make the playoffs. Yankees have won like 7 of their last 8, and have a relatively easy schedule. It's definitely a tough 13 game finish for the Sox. Boston is no sure thing.
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 09:05 AM) You guys are all weak and pathetic. WE own the tribe. So they sqeaked out a game when our pitchers were horrible. We pounded the best pitcher in the AL ERA-wise. We own the tribe this year 10-4, what makes you think we wont take the next two games? We own our division and only play them the rest of the way. Everyone who is s***ting on the sox needs to leave the site. It was better here before you came anyway. I wont miss your horrible opinions and your knowledge-less posts. Good riddance to you and the horses you rode in on. Pounded, we had 1 ER off of him. Here is all I have to say about last night. Politte 8th Jenks 9th Ballgame wheather we win or lose there is no real debate. s***ting on and pointing out the obvious are very different. I feel we still have a shot at the playoffs but this is very, very sad to think it is 50/50 right now. It could be worse, you could be a Red Sox fan.
  21. He and Konerko sure are a potent middle of the order aren't they. I assume we'll hear of some injury that one has played through and how tough the other is on himself when he is struggling. Should neither get out their slumps for the remainder of the year, at least this will allow Frank to return without any necessary thought as DH and 1B will be vacant.
  22. Son of a b****, I thought Radke was pitching things are looking up today. We miss Lee and Santana at home and now we have a guy that we can't tip our hat to, we have to pound him, we have to. We need to crush the ball and put it away early.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) Word son. I agree. I'd like to see McCarthy and Contreras against the Tribe. Buehrle won't do s*** against them and Garland has nothing more than a decent chance. If Freddy pitches good, we won't hit. If Freddy pitches bad, we won't get a single hit. Buerhle is lights out against the Indians. I recall a 27 hitter 9 inning performance last year at a shut out opening day. He and Contrearas can beat the Indians. I was thinking the same thng of the flip flop of Mac and Contrearas. I think the Twins may do well against Jose.
  24. Ozzie is losing all credability currently with each critical wrong decision. This guy wants to play and he produces plain and simple. If willie needs to be in there DH Iguchi.
