Hang on.....I wasn't watching and only saw things after the fact......was Sandling given extra time to warm up? If so, then he 100% gamed the system. We had seen that act before with Schultz he wasn't going to give the Sox anything last evening and pulling the plug early was the correct call. In regard ruining a pitcher I think the job is mental and muscle memory unlike hitting which I think is 90% mental and experience when you get to the MLB. He now knows what he needs to work on moreso than pitching in the minors and dominating.
