Reinsdorf releases statement to say he'll speak more later

I used to think there was a plan for positive direction with this franchise but that is no longer case I feel 100% that this is a completely rudderless ship of ineptitude. -
Reinsdorf releases statement to say he'll speak more later

Without getting a top 10 pick being this bad was not intentional. -
That has passed through already. Literally cannot get any worse then the worst team in the history of the oldest sport in America.

Only hope is that other investors see that they are losing money now on their investment and get agitated. I now those that have been invested over a number of years are sitting pretty but if there are some that bought in recently are not seeing a return and probably a loss.

Skip Schumaker — Sox 1st choice at manager
Harry Chappas replied to WhiteSox2023's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It's him or the third base coach, that is it. While there are limited amount of these jobs, the White Sox are currently where people come for their career to die. -
Shelton is a complete disaster.
-
They look so lost.
-
Center was just destroyed on 3rd down play and O line looking bad.
-
On 3rd and short. Use whole play clock to run that play??????
-
Same as last season. Looking like last season.

I like the firing of people but Getz is in charge and he is awful at his job so it is not going to do much.
-
Yermin swinging on 3-0 was White Sox Pearl Harbor.
-
Barfield couldn't even recognize the better talent in a system he oversaw. He should be the first to go.

I went opening day to keep the streak alive from 1988. I am not certain I even care about the White Sox any longer. I have decreased my season tickets from 162 in the early 2000s down to 10 game plans recently and have nothing this year and not certain I care to even step foot in the stadium next year. What is sad is this was something that was really a part of my life. I loved the White Sox now I am not certain I even like them. I no longer care even if they were a .500 team. To be the worst team in the history of baseball in what should be your window after the rebuild has broken me as a fan. I have two sons in their 20s and they were fans but they seem to no longer care. Chasing the carrot that JR used to put out there worked. Whatever this is now has broken me and most folks I know. I was your typical southside born, raised and reside blue collar Sox fan as was my whole circle.

Well now that the Royals are good again he can just hit them up for a couple people. Making these moves are great if they go to people that are competent within competent organizations. The fact Barfield failed on the Fletcher trade give me the impression Getz isn't very good at hiring the right people. Bannister is the only glimmer of hope but at the bullpen gives me pause on that currently. Schumaker is the next manager.

The issue last year was sketchy and I think it was a little biased against him because of the COVID antics. Resigning him was idiotic but along the lines of how bad Getz is at his job. Then there are the ties to some partial owner. He will never pitch again. He was very irritating to watch pitch which fits in line with all of the other s%*# he did to make him so incredibly unlikable.

For their game v MC, Mother McAuley has their big volleyball national tournament so parking will be crazy. I don't know the specifics of BR but they should beat Phillips. They should compete with Marist and Rita. BR has close to or more boys then Marist so enrollment doesn't matter. MC and Loyola are on another plane. BR can go anywhere from 8-1 to 5-4 -
Are you saying that you think he is not a complete failure as an employee of the Chicago White Sox? How log of a rope does he get for hiring Bannister? That is the only thing he has done right.

Funny you should say that. The parking lot is only decreased during construction. Now let's talk about the visiting bleachers. As a BR person once told me, there is a lot of work to be done and accommodating the visitors for 3 to 6 football games a year is not one of them. -
8/25 Tigers vs Sox, The Quest for #100

I think we do play them more than others just not as much as in the past. -
8/25 Tigers vs Sox, The Quest for #100

The NFL allowed a team to leave Houston for Nashville. NBA moved a team from Charlotte and then added an expansion franchise, they did the same thing with New Orleans. NFL did the same in Cleveland. Look at the NFL in southern California and that musical chairs or how the NFL treated St Louis. MLB is not doing anything to Reinsdorf. If he wants to move they will let him and maybe if the owners are greedy enough they will add two expansion teams and Chicago may be one of them. Only real option as fans is sadly, the death of the owner which we all witnessed with the Blackhawks can improve their situation. From a business standpoint Reinsdorf is not selling while he is still alive and nobody can blame him for that. -
We lost the year moreso than any team in the history of professional baseball. If Reinsdorf is still of sound mind and body Getz would be gone but we all know he will not.
