As stated earlier. Zero reason Elko not on roster. The options are not valid

Road trip went from team being disappointed with losing 2 of 3 to being embarrassed by Baltimore and back to an MLB laughingstock. This one will end up an 8-2 loss and my attitude of ambivalence toward this organization.

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
Harry Chappas replied to GreatScott82's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The red line expansion is an epic waste of taxpayer money. Zero need for that project but it makes everyone feel good. Is a stadium anything more a promo piece for the city, nope but it is better advertising than the El to nowhere. -
I am here to say I almost care about the White Sox again.

Jerry Owens kid...only if Jeremy went by Jerry but still probably not the same. Sorry I don't have anything productive to add to this thread other than nonsense

2025 MLB season...catch-all for non-Sox, non AL-Central

MLB teams are not sharing their fiscal information with other teams regarding this so in theory it is a an idea in reality it is unenforceable and simple to work around. -
Wait until next year The baseball cry of the failing.

The Bears are probably the biggest draw in the NFL. As are the Bulls in the NBA. It sucks they both stinks.
-
Not sure when they happened but the two crazy long losing streaks last year did them in and skews comparative records. I think this team will progress throughout the year and just bad. The fact that both teams can be historically bad in back to back years shows there is something off with baseball.

My guess is he would say Billy Pierce or Nellie Fox

The Palacios thing is frustrating as well as Amaya and Matoon. I get the rope on players they are vested in like Vaughn but those three are just awful. -
Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Harry Chappas replied to ChiSoxFanMike's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Robert homers every 20.6 AB Mullins 27.4 To compare these two is like comparing Crochet and Martin Perez this past off-season you are not looking at the back of the baseball card. -
Can Shane Smith win AL Rookie of Year?
Harry Chappas replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Saw stat that he has yet to swing at a pitch outside the zone. Like speed, you can't teach that. -
They should trade Burger for Vaughn. Both drafted with similar expectations and baseball skillset.

That incident was well before Bernstein, you'd think Bernstein would have known better.

The park is fine. It is not a draw but it does not suck or have anything really negative about it. It is vanilla, always has been and always will be. If you are White Sox fan and they are winning it is great. If they are not winning it is not worth going. I can get good/great food and beer there but I can get better food and cheaper beer elsewhere. -
I always felt Harper was the best fit for the city, Machado for the team culture they were pushing but the alas the Slater fella is the answer.
-
How much worse is this lineup than the actual White Sox lineup? I know they both wouldn't score but to be honest this lineup is more intriguing to me.
-
Didn't watch a single pitch of the game but it's amazing that they lost 7-2 in a game they should have won.

The case of Tim Elko is odd in that he seems to have made enough noise in the minors to be noticed and the person blocking him is living on aluminum bat days from the last decade. They are clutching their Andrew Vaughn pearls going back to making him a LF and RF because they had to have his bat in the lineup every day. A bat that was never close to covering up the weaknesses of being short and very non-athletic. He is the poster child of the epic failure of this franchise, Hahn and Getz. What harm is it to flip he and Elko just to see what may happen. This organization hasn't changed at all they rush certain players inexplicably but also sign shitty vets to block some youth. Why in holy hell are Amaya and Palacios part of this organization same with janakowski, maton, etc Good they are awful at their job.
-
Clogging of the bases is the least of our concerns with this offense.
-
To add to the tragedy of this fella, they were so certain he was going to hit and hit well, they made him a RF and LF. Wow did they miss badly on evaluating him. He was insanely rushed with zero skillset to back it up.
-
You do not DFA Vaughn unless you need the 40 man spot. Send him to Charlotte it's as nice a city as Chicago it's not like you are sending him to Birmingham...no offense to the folks of Birmingham.
